Face mask collection featuring GLAMGLOW, Ren, Origins, Eve Lom, Borghese & Dermalogica

I love a good face mask & really think it is the perfect way to instantly perk up my skin. I have a number that I use on rotation & for different reasons, so I thought I'd share them with you today!

I'll start with my least favourite - not because it is not a good product, but it is probably the least suited to my skin of all of my collection. It is the Borghese Fango Mud Active Mask & active it certainly is! This offers a very, very deep cleanse & will always bring spots out when I use it - probably why I'm not crazy about it! I have never used a mask like it before & I don't tend to use it too often, but if I feel that a spot may be about to appear, I will dab a bit of this directly on the spot & leave it for hours or overnight (don't open the door to strangers when this is on!). It will always bring the spot to a head, then I whack on the Origins Spot Remover & possibly some sudocreme if its a really bad one & this combination of products mean that the spot is gone within 24-48 hours! I don't get spot very often, so am unsure how I'll ever get through this big tub!!
The next mud mask in my collection is the GLAMGLOW Youth Mud Face Mask. This is a recent addition to my collection & I only have the tiny tub, but having used it a few times I know that I will purchase the large size. This tingles when it is applied & I was unsure initially if it might be too harsh for my sensitive skin, but when the tingling subsided & I washed it off, I was left with very clean & very soft skin. A total winner in my opinion!
My final mask in the mud category is from Eve Lom - it is their rescue mask. I use this once weekly, particularly concentrating on my chin & around my nose, where I can tend to get congested. It has a very distinctive scent - to me it smells of  medicinal liquorice (is there such a thing?!). This mask is excellent at clearing blackheads & leaving the skin very clean & smooth. It is very similar to the previous GLAMGLOW mask, so I am unsure which one I would purchase when they both run out, because I don't need both.
Next up is a mask like no other! The REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. If you want to see an immediate difference to the texture, tone & radiance of your skin, then you need this mask! It is an exfoliator & mask in one & the long-term changes you will see when using this include a reduction in any acne scarring you might have & less congestion over all. I noticed that some of the little bumps I would have under my skin around my chin are have all disappeared from using this mask. A total must-have for me!
Next up is a mask from Origins, a brand that I really love. It is the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. Firstly, I have to say that I adore the fruity scent of this mask! It is a real pleasure to put on my skin after cleansing at night. When you wake up, your skin is hydrated & plump. I really love this mask & thought it was the ultimate hydrating mask.... until I purchased the next one in my collection! But that is not to say that this is not a fantastic mask - I think it depends on your level of dehydration.
The GLAMGLOW Thirstymud hydrating treatment is the absolute ultimate in hydrating dry/dehydrated/sensitive skin! I have reviewed it here already, but it still deserves another rave! It smells like toffee & is an absolute pleasure to apply to the skin. My skin has never felt as hydrated as when I use this & it is not sticky, so you won't stick to your pillow! If you have dehydrated skin, you NEED this in your life!
Finally, is a mask from Dermalogica which has been a staple in my bathroom cabinet for about 9 years (not the same tube, obviously!), since I first discovered it. It is their Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask. It is from their Age Smart range, but I think it is suitable for anybody of any age who had dull skin that needs a pick me up. I would describe it as 10 hours sleep in a tube - who doesn't need that!
So that is my entire face mask collection. Do you use any of these products or have any recommendations for one I am missing out on? I have my eye on the First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Overnight mask & the Boscia Tsubaki Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask for whenever I make a Sephora order as I have not seen them on this side of the Atlantic!
Thanks for reading!

  3. That's a nice mask collection you have! How do you find the time to use 'em all?! :-) From all these I've only tried the Glamglow Youth Mud Face Mask but I did like it.

    1. I rotate them! I could narrow it down to only 3 - the Ren & 2 glamglows because they all do different things! Thanks for reading!
