NEW IN! REVIEW! Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Series Contour Kit

I first read about this palette online last year & had my heart set on getting it, only to find that it wasn't going to be released this side of the water any time soon. My cousin regularly visits New York & I asked her to keep her eye out for it & she said it was sold out everywhere, so you can imagine my delight when a mail from Cult Beauty popped into my inbox last week to tell me that it was in stock! I couldn't get my card out of my wallet quick enough as I was afraid it would sell out immediately! It arrived the next day & I was so giddy - like a child on Christmas Eve!

Let me tell you, I was not disappointed with my purchase & it was well worth the wait! It was smaller than I had imagined & it is a cardboard casing - not problems, but just wanted you to know before ordering! This palette is a thing of beauty! It has everything you could possibly need to contour & highlight. There are 6 shades: 3 contour (Java, Fawn & Havana; all matte) & 3 highlight (Sand, Vanilla & Banana; 2 matte & 1 shimmer). I love that there is a variety of tones to suit all year round from when I am ghostly pale in winter, to a slight shade of golden in summer!

The pans are all removable, which is fantastic for travelling as you could just bring your favourite or most used contour & highlight in your z palette along with your favourite eye shadows, blush etc. Also, it is great because when you hit pan on your most used shade, it can be replaced easily.

The contour shades can be used on the eyes, cheekbones, side of the nose & jawline. They are all very pigmented & really buttery in texture, so very easy to blend. They are unlike any other contour colours I have at the moment (MAC harmony, Nars Laguna, Illamsaqua Hollow, Benefit Hoola). All 6 shades are very wearable & I have tried them all in various combinations. My favourite combo at the moment is Fawn as contour & Vanilla as highlight for a natural, daytime contour. They last for hours without having to be touched up & basically, I am in love! I am trying out a variety of brushes, but haven't quite got the right one yet so please let me know your suggestions for the best contouring brush. If you want cheekbones without having to do much work, then you need this palette in your life. At £45 it is not the cheapest, but I actually think it is good value given that there are 6 pans in it - at $40 in the States, it is a bargain!!

The only thing that would make this palette better, in my opinion, would be having a step by step guide to contouring brochure with it.

So, if you are #feeling spendy to quote the beautiful Amelia Liana, you can order online here: http://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/anastasia-beverly-hills-pro-series-contour-kit.html You also get 2 free samples with all purchases over £40 on Cult Beauty!

Let me know if you have used this or are planning on buying it & what you think! Also, please leave me your suggestions for contouring brushes.

Thanks for reading!
