REVIEW: Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energising Eye Masks Vs Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle-Resist 24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Mask

I am having a pretty tough time health-wise at the moment & am eager to try anything to help banish my dark circles & bags under my eyes. I have previously posted about an eye cream that I find is really helping, but for that extra bit of assistance, I have also been using some eye masks & thought I would share my thoughts on them with you today.

First up is one from Bliss. I have loved every product that I have ever tried from this brand - from their body butters & foot creams to their moisturisers & masks so I thought that I would try their Triple Oxygen Instant Energising Eye Masks. They come in 4 individual packs & in two separate compartments. One section has the actual mask & the other has the fluid, which contains vitamin C & cucumber extract amongst other things. You press on the fluid chamber to allow the fluid to be released into the mask, saturating it. They are applied after cleansing & toning & left for 15 minutes. I was a little sceptical at first, but I was really very surprised at how moisturised the whole eye area was. It also really helped to de-puff my eye bags & the whole under eye area felt very refreshed. They can be followed with eye cream. I really enjoyed using them. These come in packs of four & are quite expensive at £40 per pack, so they are not something I would use very often, but they are a great as a pick-me-up.

I also had a box of Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle-Resist 24 Pure Retinol Express Smoothing Eye Masks (ridiculously long name!) that I had purchased earlier this year & hadn't used yet, so I thought this was the optimal time to start using them. Again, these are expensive at £59, but there are 12 packs in that box so they are actually cheaper than the Bliss masks, which cost £10 each so these are almost half the price of the Bliss eye masks. These masks are pre-soaked and they are very cooling & refreshing on the eyes. These masks really brighten the entire eye area & are fantastic at de-puffing! They can also be used on the lip area.

If I were to choose just one to re-purchase, it would be the Shiseido masks because, apart from the price difference, they delivered a more dramatic result in just 15 minutes. It is recommended that they are used 2-3 times weekly, which I am doing at the moment because my eyes look so tired but am unsure if I would continue that way as it would be very expensive! For a pick-me-up, or for a special occasion, these would be on my must-have list! I think they would be excellent for using on a long plane journey also.

These are the first items I have tried from Shiseido & I would definitely like to try more!

Have you ever tried these products or do you have any recommendations for pick-me-ups?

Thanks for reading.
