The Triple Threat Facial for tired/dull skin, featuring GLAMGLOW, Elemis & more.

I'm in the middle of a 3 month course of medical treatment for chronic Lyme Disease and it is taking its toll on my skin & hair. So to combat that, I have been trying to take extra care of it. I didn't want to spend more money on new products, so I had a look at my skincare stash & decided that a triple threat facial would be the way to go! I have been doing this once a week for the last few weeks & I really think that it is helping my skin to look a little better/healthier.

I start by cleansing my skin with my favourite cleansing balm: Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm. I really massage it in for a minute or two & then add warm water to emulsify. I then remove it using a flannel. At this stage, I apply a deep cleansing mask: GLAMGLOW's PowerMud, which I have reviewed here. I leave this mask on for 10 minutes until it dries, I then add water & it turns into an oil. I then massage this into the skin before rinsing. At this stage, my skin is feeling really clean & ready for exfoliation.

I use my GLAMGLOW's YouthMud mask for this step. This is the creme de la creme in terms of exfoliation, in my opinion & my leaves my skin literally glowing & ready for the next step. At this stage, I like to add some moisture to my skin so I apply a generous layer of GLAMGLOW's ThirstyMud mask. This is probably my favourite face mask that I have ever used, because it leaves my skin thoroughly hydrated & plump. If I do this in the evening, I leave this mask on overnight but if it is during the day I will leave it on for as long as possible and once removed will spritz with Caudalie Beauty Elixir, apply a serum (my favourite is Clinique's Smart Serum), eye cream (Elemis Pro Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment) & finally moisturiser (at the moment I am using Origins Plantscription Powerful Lifting Cream).

This process leaves my skin feeling baby soft & looking a lot brighter than before. Once a week, it is a nice treat & I would recommend it to anybody who feels that their skin is looking dull or in need of attention. You don't have to use the products that I do, just use what is in your collection.

I would love to hear what your favourite skin treats are?
