My favourite make-up picks from 2014 featuring Nars, Lorac, YSL, Kevyn Aucoin & more!

It's make-up favourites day! I just love how make-up can brighten up the darkest day & make you look bright & awake, even when you're not actually feeling that way! It was difficult to narrow my favourites down to what I have here today, but I absolutely adore everything mentioned here.

For base, my three favourites are both new & old. I fell in love with YSL's Fusion Ink Foundation this year. It is incredibly lightweight, you actually don't feel like you are wearing any base, but the coverage is amazing! For a long time, I have loved Armani's Luminous Silk foundation because it gives amazing, flawless coverage and is very long-lasting. It is quite expensive, but I tend to get it in Duty Free, which makes it slightly more affordable! Another base favourite is Nars Sheer Glow because it makes my skin look very healthy & as though I have been on holiday! Also from Nars is my favourite concealer - their Radiant Creamy Concealer. This is a really creamy concealer, but it doesn't cake and it gives flawless coverage. It can be used under the eyes and also on blemishes & on areas of redness. It is a wonder product.

My absolute favourite blushes from this year are in the Hourglass Ambient Blush palette. They are intertwined with highlighting powders and give my skin a very healthy look. I love each of the blushes in the palette and have used all three numerous times since purchasing it. I dread the day I hit pan on this!

In terms of highlighting, my favourite from the year is Kevyn Aucoin's Celestial Powder in Candlelight. This is so finely milled & gives my skin a really nice, radiant glow without the discoball effect that some highlighters give.

In terms of eye shadows, my heart was stolen by the Lorac Pro 1 & 2  palettes! I have never encountered such buttery soft eyeshadows and I adore every shadow in both palettes. There is s huge variety of colours in both palettes & there is an endless number of looks I can create using these palettes. Love them!

For mascara, I have loved YSL's False Lash Effect mascara for years & still do but this year I fell in love with a new mascara, which is from Too Faced - it is their Better Than Sex Mascara. Both give the false lash look that I love.

Finally, for lip favourites. I have a variety of colours & types of products that I have used & loved. My favourite nude lip is YSL's Rouge Volupte in 01 Nude Beige. It is the perfect nude - on the pink side of nude so it doesn't give that dreaded corpse look! The perfect lip liner to go with this lipstick is Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Lip Liner in the shade Pillowtalk - I simply adore this lip liner & it looks stunning when worn alone also.

My favourite lip gloss for the year has been Chantecaille's Brilliant Gloss in the shade Lucky, which is a beautiful peachy, pink with a hint of gold shimmer. A perfect everyday gloss.

Also, more recently I have been loving Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencils in the shades Damned & Cruella - beautiful shades for autumn/winter. They are non-drying, super pigmented & long-lasting! What's not to love?!

Please tell me your favourite make-up picks from 2014!
