REVIEW: Urban Decay Moondust Diamond Dog eye shadow

I am not the greatest fan of glittery eye shadows because they can tend to look too full on & the chunks of glitter can fall down on to the cheeks, however I really liked the look of Urban Decay Moondust eye shadow in the shade Diamond Dog because the colour is a really nice deep brown and the glitter is very, very fine and iridescent.
This can be applied wet for a very intense look, but I prefer to wear it as a wash on the lid up to the crease and blended with a soft, fluffy brush. I have worn it both day & night - it wouldn't be my everyday day choice, but it is nice for a daytime date! I don't find that there is any falldown, but I wear some loose powder under my eyes when applying eye shadows and then remove it when I am finished, or else if I am doing a very smokey eye, I will apply my eye shadow before my base.

If you want a sophisticated glitter look, these eye shadows are for you. There are 11 shades in the range, so check them out here and find the best one for you. I also have my eye on Solstice!

Have you tried any from the range? What is your favourite sparkly eye shadow?

  1. Does it apply well with a brush? I've seen a lot of reviews lately on these shadows and I've got my eye on the duo chrome brown/green one :)

  2. Yes, I use a MAC 239 to apply & 217 to blend, but you could apply just using your fingers too!

  3. Urban Decay products always seem to impress me and this shade looks gorgeous. You'll have to let us know if you pick up Solstice too :) xx

I really love to read your comments & appreciate all of them!
