Want to make green eyes pop? Use this: MAC Golden Olive pigment

I was introduced to MAC's Golden Olive pigment by my wedding make-up artist. I had never used a pigment eyeshadow previously to this as I wasn't sure if I would be able to apply them properly, or if there would be lots of fallout on my cheeks. I was also unsure if I would want to wear green eyeshadow on my wedding day because most brides wear a neutral eye, but when she tested it on me, I was hooked! It really brought out just how green my eyes are and made me look vibrant & healthy! It also made the whites of my eyes appear whiter - bonus!

I like to apply it with a damp brush (spray the brush with MAC Fix+ or Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray) to really make the colour even more vibrant. I also find that it stays put longer this way. I wear it as a one colour wash, blended out or also smoked out with MAC Greensmoke, or sometimes I add dome MAC Old Gold reflects pigment for a night out, with lashings of mascara and black eyeliner. The gold flecks running through it mean that it is perfect for brightening the eyes. I think it would look great on brown eyes also. My husband loves when I wear this because it reminds him of our wedding day!

I bought a few other pigments since this one, but always go back to this as it's my favourite. I don't know if I will ever finish the pot!

  1. I don't love pigments because they're messy and have a bunch of fallout, but this one looks gorgeous! I'll definitely need to check this out the next time I'm at MAC!
