Mini Duty Free Haul!

I'm just back from a weekend away visiting my Hubby's family in the UK combined with his birthday treat of a trip to Spurs (boo for the result of the game!). This meant that I inevitably had to hit up Duty Free, but we were limited due to only having hand luggage which means I couldn't buy many liquids due to the 100ml rule. I think The Loop in Dublin airport has come on leaps and bounds in the last few years with so many new brands & the discounts are great. With the euro being so weak against the pound, it is definitely cheaper to buy here than on your return where possible.

So I just picked up 3 items (was very restrained!) and thought I would share them with you today. First up is Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess fragrance. I absolutely adore this scent and had to buy because I recently finished my bottle from last year. It smells like holiday in a bottle - a mixture of coconuts, sun cream & pina colada! It always puts me in a good mood when I wear it!

I would love a matching body lotion for Bronze Goddess and I think a body cream is released every year but it usually sells out very quickly. It wasn't sold in the airport anyway, so I bought Victoria's Secret Coconut Passion hydrating body lotion. It smells similar, but not identical and is a mix of coconut & vanilla. I'm looking forward to using this because I have been really attracted to vanilla scented products recently. I'm also looking forward to seeing how hydrating it actually is!

Finally (told you it was a mini-haul), I started to buy my sun cream for the summer. Last year, I loved Lancaster's Tan Maximiser After Sun & decided I wanted to try their sun creams so I bought my first bottle. I actually thought I had bought SPF 15, but it's 10 so it may be used at the end of the holiday & I will buy 30 & 15 before summer really begins. I am looking forward to using this. I usually use Piz Buin because I have a reaction to lots of other brands, but hopefully that won't be the case with this.

So as you can see, I was very restrained! The weak euro didn't help matters - I spotted so many more products but with the exchange rate, they worked out more expensive than buying in stores here.

Have you tried any of the other Victoria's Secrets ranges? This is my first foray into the brand, so am looking for recommendations for what I should try next!

Thanks for reading!

  1. Ooh thanks for the perfume recommendation, I had been thinking about getting this before but wasn't sure as they never seem to have a tester whenever I have seen the box, will have to pick it up x

  6. It doesn't really smell of vanilla - more coconut really, it's the body lotion that smells of vanilla & coconut! Smell it next time you're at an Estee Lauder counter & see what you think! xx

  9. You were indeed very restrained, sweetie, I don't know if I would have been the same. Looking forward to my trip in a few weeks during which I hope to do some shopping, time permitting. I need a new sunscreen, actually....

  10. I blame my restraint on the weak euro & hand luggage rather than my (lack of) willpower!! Looking forward to seeing your haul! xx
