Recent purchases #18 featuring Too Faced, Hourglass, GLAMGLOW, Kerastase & more!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter & enjoyed the bank holiday weekend?! Wasn't the weather just fabulous? There's nothing like a bit of sun & blue skies to put a spring in the step!

So I've been doing a little shopping again & I am really excited about some of these products because I have been lusting after them for a while! My best friend was on holiday in New York, so she picked up the three products that I am most excited about because they aren't available here as far as I am aware. I had a long list, that I narrowed down because these three were quite expensive with the exchange rate.

First up is the Thirstycleanse cleanser from GLAMGLOW. I adore the mask already so as soon as I heard that they were releasing matching cleansers, I knew that this one would be mine! It is a mud to foam cleanser, which makes it very different from any other cleanser I have used. I have used it twice already & am really liking it so keep reading for a full review soon. I want to give it a while before I can really tell how it is suiting my skin.

I have heard so many rave reviews of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer, but after a bit of research I decided that their other primer might suit my skin better because I have dry/dehydrated skin, so I chose No 28 Primer Serum. The description says that it is intensely hydrating & helps the skin appear dewier, which sounds right up my street! I will report back on this after a few uses to let you know if it lives up to its description.

When I bought the Too Faced Chocolate palette a while ago, I instantly fell in love with it & I have used it consistently ever since so I decided that I had to get their latest offering: Too Faced Semi Sweet palette. One of the shadows got a little damaged in transit, but other than that, I am delighted with this palette & am really looking forward to using it already. From swatching, I can tell that the shadows are of the same high quality as the original.

I went old school & bought some Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Sponge On Cream Make-up. I used to wear this all of the time back in the day but I literally have not used it in about 8 years so I decided to buy one because I am flying with hand luggage only this weekend & thought this compact might be ideal for travelling.

I also bought a new concealer, which I reviewed last week: Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. I absolutely adore this concealer already. It is everything I could ever want in a concealer and more!

I needed a new foot cream and thought I would change it up & buy Clarins Foot Beauty Treatment Cream. I have used this previously and loved it, also I thought it might be a little bit lighter than my usual Palmer's Foot Magic, which might work better now that the sun is starting too appear. I'm not crazy about applying heavy creams in summer.

Because I love my Darphin Ideal Resource Night Cream so much, I decided to buy a day cream from the brand because my current day moisturiser is running low. I decided on their Ideal Resource Smoothing Retexturising Radiance Cream. I am really hoping that I love it as much as the night cream because it was pretty expensive, but I don't mind paying a lot for skincare if it works - I will let you know what I think when I have been using it a while.

Finally, I bought two haircare products: Kerastase Resistance Ciment Thermique Resurfacing Reinforcing Milk and Redken Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer. Jo from A Little Pop of Coral (one of my favourite blogs!) posted recently about Kerastase Ciment Thermique and it reminded me of when I used to use it & love it so I thought I would but it again. I find the Resistance range brilliant for strengthening my hair so I look forward to using this again. I bought the Redken product because anything which claims to help speed to blowdrying is a winner in my book - there are SO many things I would prefer to spend my time/energy on than blow drying my hair! I will do a review soon!

So that's the end of my haul. I am really happy to own all of these products and am looking forward to reviewing them for you soon! If there is anything you would like me to review first, please let me know in the comments below. Tell me what you have been buying lately?

Thanks for reading!

  1. I love the Chocolate Bar palette, I just don't know if I "need" the Semi-Sweet palette too... Endless dilemma in my head!

  2. In the past couple of weeks (since my last haul), I've only purchased some makeup remover wipes and two lip pencils from MAC - trying to restrain myself as I'm travelling later this month which will give me ample opportunity to shop!

  3. Amazing haul so many great purchases! I've been intrigued by the new Glamglow Cleansers so can't wait to hear your verdict on it. The Hourglass primers are another lust worthy product so definitely looking forward to your review on that x

  4. I really wanna try the concealer. I have a problem I can't get enough of them. Have you ever tried Estée Lauder double wear concealer or foundation?

  8. I've never tried the concealer, but had a sample of the foundation & it really just didn't suit my really dry skin. I'd like to try the light version though! xx
