REVIEW: Aromatherapy Associates Bath & Shower Oils: De-stress, Relax, Revive

Earlier this year, I bought an Aromatherapy Associates set in the Cult Beauty post-Christmas sale and I totally forgot that I had it until I discovered it last weekend when I was tidying! Result! Am I the only one who forgets about what they bought?! I was delighted to discover the set and in it, there were three bath & shower oils: De-stress, Deep Relax and Revive

I immediately used Revive, because I can always do with anything that might make me feel more energetic and invigorated! The oils in this one are: pine, juniper berry, pink grapefruit and rosemary. I added 2 capfuls to my bath and could immediately smell how uplifting the scents were. I lay in the bath & inhaled the scent and felt great - I was craving a massage actually, because I used to go to a massage therapist who would blend oils each time I went, depending on what my body was craving on that particular day. I know I will purchase the full size bottle of this at some point.

De-stress is my next favourite out of the three. This is nice for the end of the day because you feel cocooned by the scents. It contains rosemary, black pepper, ginger and lavender. Lavender is always excellent for relaxing me and I find ginger to be warming so I really like the combination of these scents. I think a massage oil with these scents would be an amazing gift for anybody because it relaxes both the body and mind.

Deep Relax is my least favourite of the three, which really surprised me because this is the one I have heard most people rave about and I usually like relaxing bath oils. The description says that it stimulates an exhausted immune system, which is something I definitely need (read my personal post here) so I don't know why I wasn't attracted to this one! It contains camomile, sandalwood and vetivert. I think I just find the scent to be a little too "earthy" for my liking so I will give this to my mother and see if she likes it.

The full bottles cost £40 so I won't indulge just yet, but I would love to explore this brand more. I will definitely buy another sampler set when I see it on sale so that I can try some more of the scents too. Have you tried anything from this brand?

I'd love to know what your favourite bath oil is?
