Best of High End Brands Tag

I read this tag on a few blogs recently and thought it would be right up my street because I am a huge fan of so many high end beauty products. The idea is that you need to choose only one product from each brand that you would keep if you had to give all of the other products from that brand away (I'm shuddering at the thoughts!). There were some very difficult choices to be made! So let's get started!

Charlotte Tilbury: This has to be the Golden Goddess Quad. I bought this a year ago and find that I reach for it very regularly. I love to wear all 4 shadows together, but they can also be worn alone for a quick wash of colour. The colours suit my green eyes so well. I love how pigmented the shadows are and how buttery smooth they are also. I also love the burgundy and rose gold packaging.

Chanel: Although I love Vitalumiere and Vitalumiere Aqua, I have to give this category to Soleil Tan De Chanel.  It has a creamy-mousse texture and blends beautifully into the skin. I always bring it on holiday to deepen my bases as my tan develops and I also wear it when I'm fake tanned as I don't like to fake tan my face. It isn't as scary as it looks in the pan!

Hourglass: This was a toughie because I love, love, love the blushes and I also really love the bronzer but I have to give it to No 28 Primer. This is my holy grail primer since I discovered it earlier this year. It definitely isn't cheap but for dry or dehydrated skin like mine, nothing I have ever tried has worked better. I reviewed it here.

Armani: No competition, this has to be Luminous Skin Foundation. This is my go-to foundation for when I want my base to look flawless and to last without any patchiness. I have used this foundation for years and love that it doesn't cling to any dry patches and applies evenly without any cakiness.

Kevyn Aucoin: The Celestial Powder in Candlelight is probably my favourite powder highlighter ever. I love the soft glow it gives my skin, without settling into any fine lines around the eyes. It is buttery soft & easy to blend without any glittery disco-ball effect!

DIOR: I only own three Dior products but my favourite is Diorskin Nude Skin-Perfecting Hydrating Concealer, which I reviewed here. This hydrating foundation is perfect for those with fine lines or dehydrated skin in the eye area because it doesn't settle into any lines or crease, yet gives great coverage and also brightens. My perfect concealer!

NARS: This was a tough one because I love so many Nars products but if I ultimately had to keep only one of the products, it would be a blush. Orgasm is the only blush that I have ever hit pan on! It is a pinky/peach with a golden shimmer running through it but it doesn't translate into a glittery look on the cheeks if you use a light hand. I also love Deep Throat & Torrid.

Laura Mercier: I have yet to try the new Skin Creme foundation - I did really like the original, but think the new moisturising version will really suit my skin. My pick from this brand has to be another blush & it is the Second Skin Cheek Colour in Peach Whisper. I love the pigmentation and how easy the blush is to blend. I have a few but this one is my favourite - yet another peachy/coral blush!

Last, but definitely not least is YSL: This was the toughest of all of the brands for me because I love so many products from this brand - the Fusion Ink foundation, Faux Cils mascara and Gloss Volupte but ultimately, if I could only keep one product, it would be the Rouge Volupte lipstick in 01 Nude Beige. If I could only wear one lipstick for the rest of my life, this would be it. It is the perfect pinky-nude shade, very pigmented, very creamy & comfortable to wear. Would love some more from the range!

I hope you enjoyed reading this tag as much as I enjoyed writing it. I would love to know what your favourite high end products are? I think we all love a bit of luxury in our lives!
