Five brands I want to explore in 2016

2015 saw me discover some really amazing beauty products (particularly skincare) that have now become staples in my routine. Each year, being the beauty junkie that I am, I like to try lots of new products and 2016 will be no different. However, instead of just snapping up the latest item of the moment, I would like to focus on brands that I already love and some new ones that bloggers/youtubers whose opinions I trust, really recommend. Today, I am going to share with you five brands that I would like to explore this year so let's get started!

1. Tatcha

Since buying Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist last year, I haven't done my make-up without using it. I use it as a finishing spray and it just makes everything look that little bit softer and more luminous (which shouldn't surprise given its name!). I don't have any other product in my (pretty large) collection that does anything near what this does in terms of dewiness (but not greasy), and freshness. Given that I love it so much, I would love to try some more products from the Luminous range including the Lifting Facial Mask and Deep Hydration Firming Serum. I'm all about adding hydration to my skin so both products sound right up my street!

2. Oskia

Another brand that I have tried some products from and loved is Oskia. Their Renaissance mask is my absolute favourite mask and I also really love their Renaissance Cleansing Gel. Both products make my skin not only look better, but feel better. For this reason, I would love to try some more products from the brand and their Restoration Oil might just be the place to start. Its aims are to replenish, restore and rejuvenate and is described as food for both the skin and the senses.

3. Fresh

This is a brand that I have to try anything from. As far as I am aware, Fresh products are not available in Ireland but I am open to correction on that. They are very well known for their lip products and I was wishing I could try some of them late last year when my lips were so chapped that it was even painful to smile! Even my beloved Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask did nothing! So on my list of products that I would like to try are Sugar Lip Treatment Advanced Therapy and Sugar Lip Serum Advanced Therapy. Ideally, I would like to buy a set, which contains mini samples of a number of products. Being the face mask addict that I am, I would also like to try their Black Tea Firming Overnight Mask. I love waking up to plump, hydrated skin after using a night mask. Finally, because Caroline Hirons has raved about their Sugar Lemon Body Lotion, I really want to try that too.

4. Nude

In 2015, I absolutely fell in love with Nude Progenius Omega Treatment Oil. I have always been a fan of facial oils but this is absolutely the very best oil that I have ever used. It left my skin feeling very nourished, non-greasy and looking plump. I would love to try their Advanced Renewal Serum and Progenius Omega Treatment Milk. Both contain omega oils and they really work for my skin in improving firmness and nourishment - what more could I ask for?!

5. Sunday Riley

This is a brand that I have resisted buying products from for so long because they are incredibly expensive and I wondered if they could possibly be worth the price but having read so, so many rave reviews from people with skin similar to mine, I really want to bite the bullet this year & try some products. Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm is the first product that I would love to try. Balm cleansers are my favourite to use so this is an obvious choice. Good Genes Treatment is a product that I have heard so much about and anything that helps promote radiance, reduce inflammation and aids repair is always going to be right up my street. Finally, Luna Sleeping Night Oil is retinoid oil and what interests me most about this (apart from the fact that I love facial oils) is that it aims to reduce pore size. Now I don't know if anything can actually reduce pore size, but if it can reduce the appearance of pores then I'm interested. I have a small are of visible pores on the front of my cheeks and sometimes, I find them more noticeable/annoying than others so anything that might reduce the appearance is something that I am willing to try. If only the products weren't so expensive, or there was a discovery kit to try products without spending too much cash!

Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to know your thoughts on them - both good & bad! Also, what products are on your wishlist for the year ahead? Please tell me in the comments below!
