My thoughts on the Caudalie Premier Cru range

Caudalie Premier Cru Range Review

The Premier Cru range is not new to Caudalie - in fact, it has been around for 9 years, however after 5 years of research, they have now added Premier Cru - The Serum to the range. This new serum is said to increase the anti-ageing properties of The Cream by seven times. I was kindly sent a set of samples to test and now that I am finished them, I want to share my thoughts on them with you.

First, a little bit about the Premier Cru range in general before I talk you through the products. It is an anti-ageing range (I would suggest aimed at those 35 and over) and its main ingredients are those patented by Caudalie: Resveratrol, Viniferine and Polyphenols, combined with hyaluronic acid amongst others. This combination aims to nourish, firm, plump and improve the texture of the skin. Over the past five years, they have partnered with researchers in Harvard University to develop new ingredients and the result is Vinergy, which will encourage the energy cells in our skin to regenerate but also help to increase the effectiveness of the other products we use.

Vinergy is a vital component of The Serum, The first thing I noticed about the serum was the rose scent, which I adore, because it doesn't smell synthetic - in fact, the serum contains 95% natural origin ingredients. It has a very light texture - almost watery, and it absorbs immediately. It doesn't feel sticky or wet once applied and the products that follow don't ball over it. I used this every morning for the past 3 weeks and no matter what product I followed with, my skin looked plump - with a little more bounce than normal, even and bright. I can see why 78% of volunteers in a test study found that their skin had gained vitality over 7 days and 80% found their skin to be firmer. It can be used both morning and night and if I had to choose one of the three products I tested, to repurchase, it would be The Serum.

The Cream has a beautiful texture - a light cream, however it wasn't nourishing or moisturising enough for my Sahara-like skin. It left my skin feeling very thirsty, however I think it would work well on normal to combination skin. There is also a rich version of this cream that I think would work a lot better for my very dry skin.

I love a good eye cream - I know that some people say that they can't really tell if they're working but they're using the wrong creams! The Eye Cream in this range is beautiful! It has a light cream texture - not so rich that it will cause milia but rich enough to hydrate and plump the under-eye area. I have noticed that the area is bright, plump and much smoother and as a result, my concealer is going on more evenly and doesn't cake or crease. If you have yet to find an eye cream that makes a difference, then you need to try this one!

There is one other product in the range, which is The Precious Oil, which I haven't tried but I would love to because I love a good facial oil and given how much I love two out of the three products, I imagine that I would really enjoy the oil. Have you tried it? I would love to hear your thoughts if you have!

Have you tried any of the products in the Premier Cru range? I would love to hear your thoughts on the products I've reviewed? Are you tempted by any of them?
