Long term readers will know that I am a big fan of Too Faced (see Brand Focus post here), so when they recently released some new products, I couldn't resist adding them to my collection. Not everything is available this side of the Atlantic yet but rumour has it that they will be available in Debenhams soon.
The Natural Face Collection has been repackaged with the Natural Face Makeup Palette being a new addition to the range. The new packaging feels really luxurious and the exterior has a domed lid with a heart clasp and lace design. It's pretty weighty and feels like it's worth every penny of the £35 price tag. This palette contains 2 bronzers, 2 blushes and 2 highlighters, in matte and satin finishes so they work well individually or layered together. Starlight is a pink toned highlighter, while Satin Sheets is a pale gold. Satin Pink is a pinky-coral blush with a satin finish and Pink Sand is a matte deep peach/mocha blush. Sunny Honey is a matte warm bronzer and Tropic Like It's Hot is a warm shimmering bronzer. All six powders are creamy in texture and pretty pigmented, they also all have a sweet vanilla scent. This really is a dreamy palette and ideal for anyone who travels a lot as it provides 6 options and the bronzers can double as eyeshadows. It also has a large mirror inside the lid - basically everything you could need in a face palette! Available from Debenhams (Ireland) and Cult Beauty.
I also bought an individual Chocolate Matte Bronzer because I have a mini of it, which I really love! Again, this has been repackaged with a bronze/chocolate exterior and mini heart clasp. I love that it smells of chocolate, but even more beautiful is the texture! It is very finely milled, which means that it applies and blends seamlessly. Although it's matte, it doesn't look flat on the skin and the colour is perfect for my medium skin - neither grey nor orange. Available from Cult Beauty.
I'm not usually a fan of matte foundations but Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation is an exception. It has medium coverage that is buildable and the finish is not a flat matte or mask-like - more like a demi-matte but if you really wanted it to be more matte, you could use a mattifying powder or primer. This is a really long-lasting foundation - I wore it for 14 hour days just after I bought it in New York and it literally didn't budge at all or settle into fine lines. I've used it with a beauty blender, a brush and my fingers and it applies beautifully every way. It's one of the best foundations I have tried in along time so I would highly recommend trying it if it comes to this side of the Atlantic, if not, it's worth placing a Sephora order!
Also from the Peaches & Cream collection, I bought the Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette. When I initially saw this was being released, I thought that I might skip it because I already owned the Sweet Peach palette but when I read some reviews and saw it in the flesh, I just couldn't resist! On close inspection, I realised that the shadows are different to the rest of my collection so I could justify the purchase. Again, this is beautifully packaged with mini heart clasps and a large mirror inside the lid. There are 12 pigmented shadows inside in a variety of warm creamy/peachy/wine tones. All of the shadows are super pigmented so a light hand is necessary and although the texture is buttery, they aren't crumbly so I don't find that there is much fallout. There are endless looks that can be created with this palette and the shades work incredibly well together - even Peach Punch, which looks almost neon in the pan! I've created both natural/daytime appropriate looks and also some bolder looks so there really is something for everyone in this palette. If you like warm tones, I really recommend this if you have the opportunity. As far as I am aware, the Carnaby Street Too Faced store is the only UK stockist.
Overall, I am delighted with all four products and I will be reaching for them all regularly over the coming months! Has anything here caught your eye?
Thanks for reading!
