Clarins Spring Makeup!

Clarins Spring Makeup Collection 2019

When I received the Clarins Spring makeup press release, I got giddy! As much as I am a fan of the festive season, I really love Spring and all that it brings. For me, it brings hope and is the perfect time to make changes if you want to. Like their festive makeup collection (post here), there aren't a lot of products but I think that's really good because with each season, we don't need a whole new set of products, just a few to add into our everyday makeup to freshen it up.

Instant Poreless is a mattifying primer with a gel-cream texture. I personally haven't tried it as I am more of a dewy/glowy complexion person, but from my experience with other Clarins primers, it would be worth trying if you like a matte finish.

Clarins Glow 2 Go Duo Sticks Review & Swatches

Clarins Glow 2 Go Duo Sticks Harmony 2 Review & Swatches

There are two Glow 2 Go Duo Sticks available in the shades Harmony 1 and Harmony 2. Each stick contains a highlighter on one end and a blush on the other. Harmony 1 is best suited to fair skin tones with a pink blush, whereas Harmony 2, which is the one that I have, is best suited to warm skin. It has a golden highlighter and peach blush - both of which really liven up my complexion. The highlighter looks very deep in the stick but blends out to a golden sheen. The texture is creamy enough to make the products easy to blend in without disturbing foundation, but it isn't greasy and doesn't feel heavy on the skin. I personally find cream products make my skin look fresh in a way that powder products can't and Spring is the perfect time for fresh skin. I know that this duo stick will be in my makeup bag for any travels this year as it's so convenient to have two products in one!

Clarins Ready In A Flash Eye Palette Review & Swatches

Clarins Ready In A Flash Eye Palette Review & Swatches

The final product in the lineup is the Ready In A Flash Eye Palette, which is limited edition. This is a really versatile palette, which contains six powders: two brow powders, two matte shadows and two iridescent shadows. The matte shadows can also be used as liners and the shimmer shadows can also be used as highlighters so if you are really tight on space when travelling or you want a small palette to pop in your handbag that will take you from day to night, this is perfect. The brow powders are a medium and a deep brown, which will suit most hair colours. They aren't too stiff but not creamy and I find that they last well in my brows and are easy to apply with an angled brush. The shimmer shadows are buttery soft and pigmented, the mattes a little less creamy but still very blendable. Overall it's a gorgeous little palette, the shade selection is very wearable and can be used for both day and night looks and the shadows are long lasting on the lids. I can see myself getting plenty of use out of these shadows!

I'd love to hear your thoughts on these products? Are you excited for Spring to arrive?
