Christmas Gift Guide: Palettes

Christmas Gift Guide: Palettes

Have you entered my beauty bundle giveaway here?

I hope that you've been enjoying my gift guides this week? If you've missed any, you can catch up herehere here and  here. Each one contains a mixture of products that I have bought myself and products that were kindly sent to me. If a product was sent to me, it will be marked with a * for transparency. I never feature products that I wouldn't be happy to spend my own money on. In the coming weeks, I will be combining some of the gifts in a bundle for a giveaway that will only be open to those who engage with my posts, both here on the blog and on Instagram. Today, it's all about palettes! Regular readers will know how much I love palettes, which is why I chose to dedicate a separate post to them!

Natasha Denona Metropolis: I'm starting with the most expensive palette, which won't suit all budgets, however this could be one that maybe a few people pool together for! I am a huge fan of Natasha Denona eyeshadows and I have a number of her palettes but if you are new to her eyeshadows and, budget allows, you cannot go wrong with this palette as it covers neutrals and colours, in a variety of finishes. Expensive but I can honestly say that it's worth the price. Full review and swatches here.

Too Faced Gingerbread Extra Spicy Palette: Everyone went crazy for the Gingerbread palette last year - so much so that it sold out pretty quickly and was re-released due to demand! (review and swatches here) It wasn't too surprising that the brand wanted to extend the Gingerbread range, which includes this palette. The quality of Too Faced eyeshadows is the best in the mid-budget range, in my opinion - buttery soft, pigmented, blendable and long-lasting. There are 18 shadows in this (cute) palette, all pretty much warm tones and a lot of neutrals with a few pops of colour. All wearable shades so this palette would make a gorgeous gift!

Charlotte Tilbury Starry Eyes To Hypnotise*:  This is the third palette of this size that Charlotte has released (reviews of other two here and here) and I have to say that I think this is the best because it combines my favourite tones from the two previous palettes but also has a green trio, which is pretty unique. I love the way the eyeshadows are in trios with prime, smoke and enhance shades, which helps those who aren't the most skilled with knowing which shades work best together. Full review & swatches coming soon but, briefly, this palette is a dream to use - smooth, creamy, pigmented shadows! And, as you'd expect with Charlotte Tilbury makeup, the packaging is stunning!

Natasha Denona Camel Palette: If large Natasha Denona palettes are outside your budget, I would recommend trying one of her 5 pan palettes and you can't really go wrong with a neutral one like this Camel palette. It contains both matte and metallic shadows that are really pigmented and buttery soft. The pan size is pretty big so it would take forever to hit pan on even one of these shadows! Full review & swatches here.

Pat McGrath Mothership II: Sublime Palette: Another expensive palette from the Queen of eyeshadows! Again, this won't be in everyones budget but I can't do a post on palettes and not mention this beauty, which I reviewed with swatches here. The packaging screams luxury and the eyeshadows are top notch in terms of quality. There is 25-30% off all purchases on the Pat McGrath site at the moment and she also sells smaller palettes and individual shadows (review here).

Too Faced Let It Snow Girl*:  I'm always excited to see the festive releases from Too Faced, not only because they are beautifully packaged but also because they are good value and this year is no exception! This set looks like a cute doll and contains three palettes: a bronzer and highlighter, a blush quad and an eyeshadow palette, which has 19 eyeshadows in a variety of finishes. There is also a mini Better Than Sex Mascara and I have to mention that the palettes all smell of sweet cookies! The eyeshadow palette has everything you need for daily wear and also some pops of colour and glitters. It really is a gorgeous set of products that while cutesy is also great quality and it would make a fabulous gift!

Natasha Denona Mini Gold: I know that this post is very Natasha Denona heavy but I promise that it isn't sponsored! (I wish! I was sent one of her launches and then kicked off her PR list but I love her eyeshadows so much that I still buy them!). I love that she now sells mini palettes because it makes her brand more accessible. I bought this mini gold because I couldn't justify buying the full size but I've decided to put it in my Christmas giveaway so that one of you can try her eyeshadows after me banging on about them for so long! Keep your eyes peeled for that giveaway coming soon!

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow: One of my most used face palettes, I'm almost embarrassed to show you the inside but the fact that I have hit pan will show you how much I love it! This cheek duo has a beautiful formula - so easy to apply and blend and they both look natural on the skin. The bronzer adds some gentle definition and the highlighter doesn't settle into fine lines or have a discoball effect! I honestly can't rave about it enough. Full review here.

Natasha Denona Tan Palette: Yes, I know! Another Natasha product! I really love this palette! The powder products are finely milled and they layer well with the cream products. The overall look achieved with the four products is radiant and soft, they all work well together and can also be used on the eyes. Full review here.

Are you a fan of palettes? Which of these would you like to find under the tree?
