Have you entered my Pat McGrath and Natasha Denona palettes giveaway here?
Last summer, I was addicted to Angel Eau Croisière (review here) - I wore it all summer long! This year, I was delighted to find that they have released a new version, with the same name but this year, it's in homage to Brazil, from the beaches of Copacobana to the Sugarloaf mountain. It's different enough from the original to justify owning both, but like last year's, it screams summer! It is a limited edition, available from March 1st ( this Sunday) so set your alarms!
The bottle is in the traditional Angel star shape but the colours are so summery - shades of pink, green and blue, reminiscent of colourful Brazil! I've loved having it on my dressing table to make me think of future months during these past very stormy, wet and even snowy, few weeks!
The fragrance itself is sweet and fruity, yet not as heady as the original Angel. It contains notes of fig milk, magnolia, praline and patchouli, which is obtained through an eco-responsible supply chain in Indonesia, where the workers are paid a fair wage and fair working conditions.
Personally, when I first spray it, I can smell vanilla and a hint of coconut but then it settles and I can smell the fig milk - it really softens the scent. It then dries down further to reveal patchouli and praline. It's an Eau De Toilette, yet lasts a good 6-7 hours on the skin, which is longer than last years.
If you have the winter blues, this is sure to lift your spirits and I think it would make a gorgeous gift for Mother's Day, which is soon approaching (March 22nd in the UK and Ireland), if your mother likes a sweet and slightly fruity scent.
Available from Mugler, Debenhams UK/Ireland and other retailers on March 1st!
Does this sound like your kind of fragrance? I'd love to hear!
Thanks for reading!
