Some products that I have been loving and using on repeat in recent weeks

I have had so many new products to try over the past few months, thanks to my advent calendar, but also some Black Friday and sales purchases, that it was almost overwhelming at one point (not complaining though!). That said, I have noticed that there are a number of products that I just reach for on repeat, because I know that I love them, I know they will do exactly what I want them to do, and when I'm not feeling well, they are dependable. Sometimes, you just need these products in your life, instead of constantly looking for the next best thing! I'm going to share some of my current go-tos with you today....

Drunk Elephant Sweet Biome Fermented Sake Spray*: I was very kindly sent this before Christmas, with a great cocktail making kit (which I'll keep until I'm med-free and can have a drink again!), and I was delighted because I love a good face mist! This serves several functions - it hydrates the skin with coconut water and sodium PCA, it feeds our skin cells using kombucha and fermented sake extract, and it strengthens the skin with amino and fatty acids, as well as electrolytes to strengthen the skin's biome, plus ceramides and vitamin F to increase the skin's moisture levels. I have used this every day since I received it, both morning and night, and I love how my skin feels after it - comfortable, hydrated, and balanced. It's definitely the perfect antidote to the effects of cold weather on the skin.

Summer Fridays Soft Reset AHA Exfoliating Solution: I have reviewed this in full here, but in short, it's soft skin in a bottle! It's expensive at £49 for 100ml, but I definitely think that it gives Biologique Recherche P50 a run for it's money! It contains 16% AHAs (lactic and glycolic acids), as well as niacinamide, turmeric, glycerin, sodium hyaluronate and aloe, so it has everything needed to balance the skin, as well as brighten (and obviously exfoliate it). The texture is less watery than other acid toners - it's described as a 2 in 1 serum/toner but I personally couldn't skip using a hydrating toner, given how dry my skin is, but others might. The results are outstanding - my skin has never felt smoother or softer, so if you suffer form texture (be honest, who doesn't?), I would highly recommend adding this to your routine!

Pat McGrath Skin Fetish: Sublime Perfection Blurring Under-Eye Powder: I adore Pat McGrath makeup - in fact, I'd go as far as to say that it's my favourite brand, but I rarely set my under eye concealer, so I skipped buying this powder when I bought the concealer. However, the lovely Louise O'Connell raved about this powder so much that I knew I had to give it a try and it was reduced in the Black Friday sale, so I took that as a sign (any excuse!) and bought it. This totally lives up to the hype - non-drying or cakey, which is my constant worry with powders on my dry under-eye area. This sets concealer, but through some sort of wizardry, it isn't detectable as powder and it lives up to the blurring in its name. It really is the PERFECT under eye powder and I find that a little goes a long way. One tip - use a patting rather than a sweeping motion.

Natasha Denona Face Glow Primer: I really didn't need a new primer, but I was browsing online when I saw this and remembered how much I loved it and that it just made every foundation glide onto my skin and stay looking fresh all day. It feels hydrating, without feeling heavy or greasy, and although it has glow in the name, there's no pearlescent finish. I can't remember how many tubs of this I've used, but I just adore it!

Essie Gel Couture Top Coat: I paint my nails weekly and I like it to last, so recently when I found myself all out of top coats, I decided to go back to one that I used to buy repeatedly. I love that this gives my nails a gel-like finish, but also that it protects my polish from chipping, so that my manicure lasts a week (I could probably get a little longer, but it's part of my Friday routine!). It's often on 3 for 2, so I'll be keeping my eye out to stock up.

Aerin Hibiscus Palm Eau De Parfum: This was one of my Christmas gifts, and although it a scent that is probably more suited to summer, I just adore it and can't stop wearing it. It combines notes of coconut milk, vanilla, musk, hibiscus palm, lotus flower and more to create a warm, yet not overpowering, fragrances that conjures up images of beaches, the sand between my toes, cocktails, sun cream, and summer holidays, in general. It's different from other "summer in a bottle' fragrances though, as it has more depth to it and lasts for hours on the skin. It has given me the itch to try another Aerin fragrance. My LYMIN code works on this brand to save 20% on Look Fantastic, which is a brilliant saving on an expensive brand!

What are you using on repeat at the moment? Or are you switching things up a lot? I'd love to hear!
