January Favourites featuring Lorac, Hourglass, MAC, YSL, Vidal Sassoon & more!

So it's favourites time again & I have to say that January has flown by for me - usually, it feels like the longest month but this year for some reason, it has gone by in the blink of an eye! I have a real mixture of products to share with you this month, so let's get started!

First up is a hair colour that I tried for the first time this month & it is from Vidal Sassoon. It is called Salonist & it is a permanent colour. I used the shade 6/0 light neutral brown & the colour is true to that on the box (sometimes I find the colour to be much darker to what is on the box). This colour left me hair very evenly coloured & shiny, It is definitely one of the best home hair colours that I have ever used & will definitely repurchase when I need to.

In terms of skincare, I have been loving Serozinc & Sarah Chapman Morning & Overnight facials. The combination of these products have helped my skin recover nicely from the post Christmas indulgences & not drinking enough water for a week or so!

Now on to hair & body care. I have been loving Therapie Boost Hair & Body Wash, which has a very uplifting scent - perfect for January when the days can seem quite gloomy. I am in love with Philip Kingsley's Daily Damage Defence Spray, which I received a sample of in my Lookfantastic Beauty Box this month. I will definitely repurchase when this small bottle runs out. My hair seems shinier since I started using it. I have also worn Calvin Klein's Reveal every day since I got it earlier this month. It is a very musky, sexy scent & I just adore it!

Finally, in terms of make-up I have been using my Lorac Mega Pro Palette non-stop this month and also more recently, my Hourglass Modernist  eyeshadow palettes. All of my other palettes have been neglected in favour of these this month! My base of choice this month has been YSL's Fusion Ink - I love how light it feels on the skin, yet it gives flawless coverage, especially when paired with Bobbi Brown's full coverage face brush. Coupled with this, I have been loving MAC prep & prime in Light Boost, which I apply using a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge for a seamless, flawless finish.

What have been your favourites this month?

  1. Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Bath Oil - it's fab

  2. I am SO jealous of the Lorac Mega Pro - it's the most amazing palette I've ever seen! xx

  3. I really hope they re-release it! xx

  4. great post! I really want to get one of those hourglass eye palettes, but I'm not sure which one to get! I'm thinking maybe the one with the plummier browns or the one with the green shadows!

  5. I have my eye of both of those too!

  6. I've just ordered a replacement of my RT sponge after my dogs ate my last one. Can't wait to get using it again. I still haven't tried the YSL foundation! What's the finish like? I like satin-matte finishes x

  7. I usually like dewy foundations, but the YSL is definitely not dewy & it isn't flat matte either. It lies in between - quite similar to Nars Sheer Glow but with more coverage & a much lighter feeling on the skin. It doesn't feel like you;re wearing anything! I forgot your dog ate your sponge! Hide the new one! xx

I really love to read your comments & appreciate all of them!
