Speedy reviews on recent purchases #2 featuring Caudalie, Kiehl's and Image Skincare

Another speedy reviews instalment today! I actually only have two products in the photo above because the third item is one I bought recently that really didn't agree with my skin and I have already passed it on to my mother. It was Image Vital C Hydrating Cleanser. The first time I used it, my skin didn't react at all but the second time, just after I applied it, my skin came out in red blotches and looked as thought it was sunburnt! I have sensitive skin, so I immediately stopped using it and gave it to my mother, who is enjoying using it and hasn't had any adverse reaction. result for her, but not so much for me!

Next up is an eye serum: Kiehl's Super Multi-Corrective Eye Opening Serum. This is a fantastic eye serum, it makes the skin around the eyes look firmer and fresher. I use it both alone and under an eye cream and find it works great either way. One pump is more than enough to do both eyes both under the eye and also on the eye lid. I can't say that it lives up to the "visibly lifts" claim, but it certainly makes the entire area look more hydrated. A big thumbs up from me and although it is pricey at €52, it will last a very long time due to the small amount required per use.

Finally, a product from Caudalie, it is their Overnight Detox Oil. This is a dry oil and when I first used it, I found the scent very off-putting - it smells very bitter and quite like nettles! It can be used alone or under moisturiser, at night. It claims to regenerate and detoxify the skin and contains grapeseed oil, rosehip oil, almond oil, lavender oil, carrot and neroli. I find that it absorbs very easily and quickly - it is quite silky in texture and it gives the skin a nice sheen when applied. There is nothing "wrong" with this product, but my skin just needs more - more hydration, more regeneration and more glow. I think I just chose badly and should have bought Caudalie Vinosource Overnight Oil, which is specifically aimed at dry and dehydrated skin, rather than all skin types. I think this product would be best suited to normal or combination skin types. This oil was €40, but is currently on sale for €36 on FeelUnique. It is too expensive for me to not use, so I will probably continue to use it because I love oils, but it just doesn't give the results I want and I definitely wouldn't repurchase.

Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear your oil recommendations for overnight oils for dry skinned ladies if you have any?
