Holiday prep purchases....

I am going to Greece next week and I cannot wait for some sun because it really helps with my bone pain (fellow Lymies will understand that) and I'm looking forward to a week with my husband without any distractions! Today, I thought I would share with you some of my pre-holiday purchases. I will be taking as many sample sizes as I can, but there were some products that I just  had to buy. I will decant some of these products into smaller travel size bottles because usually my toiletries weight far more than they should!

First up is SPF; I love using Piz Buin because I never have an allergic reaction to it and I find that I get a very even tan, without burning. I am bring Factor 30 & 15 and I am also bring a lip spf from Natio with Factor 30 because who wants burnt lips?! I will buy Lancaster Tan Maximiser Aftersun in The Loop Duty Free because it is cheaper there and I find it to be the very best aftersun that I have ever used. It instantly soothes the skin and prevents any peeling or scaly skin.

I saw a new product from the brand Sanctuary, which intrigued me. It is their Cooling Shower Drench so I picked it up because it sounded exactly what our skin will need after a day in the sun! It has a very fresh scent - a mix between citrus and cucumber and I am really looking forward to using that.

In terms of hair care, I bought a set of products from the Invisible Oil range from Bumble & Bumble in the Space NK sale. It was reduced to £15 & I thought that was pretty good value because it contains three generous sized products: 100ml Invisible Oil, 60ml Sulfate Free Shampoo and 60ml Conditioner. I have never used any Bumble & Bumble products before so I am looking forward to using these. I also have a tube of Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, which I sometimes like to put in my hair in the morning & then wash out after a day in the sun.

I cannot be without Clinique Moisture Surge Face Spray since I discovered it earlier this summer and I will decant some into a smaller spray bottle to bring away with me. This is an absolute must have for me because it really helps to add extra moisture to my skin and it is very refreshing.

I wear flight socks on flights because my feet always swell up, which I find very frustrating but I also notice that I tend to retain fluid in the sun. A few months ago, I read about a product from the L'Occitane Amande range (which I am already a huge fan of) and it is called Lighter Legs. It is supposed to help legs feel light & refreshed, which is exactly what I am hoping it will do. I will let you know if this lives up to its claims.

Finally, a few basic essentials: I bought one of the new(ish) Gillette Venus Snap Razors because they are so compact, a small tub of Garnier Intense Care Intensive Moisturising Cream, which will serve as both a hand & foot cream, a packet of Boots Essentials Cucumber Wipes, which will be perfect for removing my eye make-up at night (the only time I ever use wipes is when I am travelling and only on my eyes) and a tube of Janina Ultra White Whitening Toothpaste, which is brilliant for whitening teeth without the use of harsh chemicals.

For skincare, I will use a combination of samples & decant my regular products into small tubs otherwise the majority of my luggage weight allowance would be used up in this way!

Have you tried any of these products? Do you buy any new products when going on holiday or just stick to your regulars? Are any of you going on holiday soon? I'd love to hear!
