Mother's Day in the UK & Ireland is fast approaching (March 6th) and it is the perfect day to remind your mother or the mother of your children how much you appreciate her and to spoil her! Today, I have collaborated with Debenhams who have a vast array of gift ideas for Mother's Day on their website ranging from clothes, make-up, jewellery, flowers, handbags, homeware, skincare and many more. I got my love of skincare from my mother, who has fabulous skin and despite being in her 60s, has barely a line on her face so today I am showing you a giftset from Estée Lauder that I know she would love.
If you are a regular reader of my blog, you will know that my number one skincare product that I cannot be without is Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair. I have waxed lyrical about it on many occasions and if I had to only use one high end product and have a budget routine apart from that, this would be my choice without any doubt. It hydrates, plumps, reduces fine lines, repairs, and clears the skin - everything you could possibly want a product to do. Therefore, I think the ideal gift for any skincare loving mother (my own included) is Estée Lauder Beautiful Eyes: Global Anti-Aging Set. It is priced at £43/€55, although there is currently a further 10% off in the New Season Spectacular Event.
This limited edition set contains a full size Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Eye Balm, a 7ml mini bottle of Advanced Night Repair and a mini tube of Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara. The set costs the same as the eye cream alone so you are getting two generous samples for free. You already know my thoughts on the Advanced Night Repair and the mascara is perfect for those who love dramatic, voluminous lashes without any crispiness or transferring to the under eye area or the lids, but the star of this set is definitely the eye balm. New mothers will appreciate this product because it makes the eye area look fresher and reduces puffiness - almost a miracle when you're surviving on only a few hours sleep and all ladies will love this product because it really firms the skin and softens the look of fine lines. When your eye area looks plump, your entire face looks fresher and more youthful, in my opinion. Also, unlike some eye creams, this one hasn't given me any milia (white/yellow bumps on the skin and usually in the eye area) so that is a big plus for me. It also makes the eye area very comfortable - perfect for tired/sore eyes.
I know that a lot of mothers find it difficult to treat themselves and much prefer to treat their children and grandchildren so why not take the time to treat your mother to the perfect gift this Mother's Day. She deserves it after all! If you think your mother would prefer something other than skincare, check out the Mother's Day section at Debenhams for more ideas. They offer free delivery on orders over £30/€30 with next day delivery in some areas and a free click and collect service in certain stores.
Will you be treating your mother this Mother's Day or are you hoping your children or other half will treat you? I'd love to know what type of gift your mother loves or you, yourself if you are a mother? Please tell me in the comments below!
