I love a good gift with purchase (as my minis stash will confirm!) because it gives me a chance to try some products from a brand that I may not have otherwise, but also because the products contained in the gift are always ideal for travelling. I've featured a few Clarins GWP on the blog before because they're always pretty generous in size and I love Clarins so I wanted to let you know that there is currently a gift with purchase promotion in House of Fraser until the 24th of this month. It's available with the purchase of two products (one of which must be skincare) so I thought I'd talk you through some of my favourite Clarins products and share my thoughts on one of the new SOS Primers.
Beauty Flash Balm: I have waxed lyrical about this product so many times on the blog, but with good reason! It's a product that I have repeatedly purchased for years and years and it is a constant in my stash. It can be used as a mask for very stressed skin, instead of moisturiser on no makeup days to perk up the complexion or as a primer, which is how I mostly use it. I find that it instantly brightens, plumps and firms my skin and every foundation I use, applies beautifully over it. Every primer I try is compared to this because it really is my all time favourite.
SOS Comfort Face Mask: This is a brilliant mask for anyone with dry skin because it really quenches the skin's thirst and nourishes it, resulting in plump, bright and comfortable skin. I love to use it overnight to really let it work and despite being quick thick in texture, it doesn't stick to my hair. If you have dry skin, you need this in your life! Full review here.
Double Serum: This re-vamped serum contains 21 potent plant ingredients - 20 stimulate the expression of our skin's cells and the 21st (turmeric) stimulates the listening of the cells, the overall result is better communication between the cells, which improves the efficacy of them. This helps with the 5 vital functions of the skin - regeneration, oxygenation, nutrition, hydration and protection. It is a very lightweight serum and it absorbs easily with no piling of layers applied on top. With consistent use of this, my skin is nourished, plump and bright! Full review here.
Tonic Body Treatment Oil: I have tried a few Clarins body oils and I think this is my favourite. It contains a blend of essential oils: rosemary, geranium and mint and has a beautiful spa like scent. I find that it helps with water retention and helps my skin to feel bouncier. I tend to use it on my stomach, hips and thighs after my bath and I enjoy the ritual of massaging it in.
Hand and Nail Treatment Cream: Another product that I have repurchased several times! It absorbs quickly and really nourishes the skin without feeling greasy. I almost always have a tube of this on the go and I think it makes a nice gift too.
SOS Primer: There are six SOS primers to choose from, depending on what your issue is: Rose, to minimise signs of fatigue, Peach, to blur imperfections, Coral, to minimise dark spots, Green, to diminish redness, Lavender, to brighten sallow skin and Universal Light, to boost radiance, which is the one I chose. I love that it has a pump so I can control how much I dispense to avoid waste! I find that this primer really does add some light and radiance to my skin, which makes it perfect to wear on no makeup days but also under my foundation or mixed with foundation, depending on how much coverage I need. It reminds me of Charlotte Tilbury's new Wonderglow primer (review here). One thing to mention though is that it is quite scented initially but the scent dissipates within a few minutes. If you want to add some radiance to your skin, rather than full on glow, you should give this a go!
Now on to the gift with purchase! There are four products and a gorgeous pink makeup bag. The products are: Beauty Flash Balm, Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch and Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil. All are pretty generous sizes, perfect for travelling and ideal to give each one a good test. It might also be an idea for Mother's Day to add to other products. To get this gift, you need to purchase two Clarins products, one of which must be skincare bu February 24th.
What's your favourite Clarins product? Are tempted by gift with purchase offers? I'd love to hear!
