My birthday beauty gifts!

It was my birthday recently and I was lucky enough to receive some beautiful gifts and I wanted to share the beauty ones with you today! It may serve as inspiration if you have a birthday coming up yourself or if you have a beauty lover to buy for soon.

I received the new Becca Skin Love foundation, which I included in my Foundations for Dry Skin edit here and also the Under Eye Brightening Corrector from the same brand. This is actually the first corrector that I have used and I love it - I use a tiny amount and pat it into my under eye area with my finger. I find that I have to use a tiny amount or it will crease but luckily, my dark circles aren't too bad so only a tiny amount is needed. It really does brighten up the area - sometimes I follow with concealer but it isn't always necessary.

You all know how much I love Natasha Denona products so I was delighted to receive the mini Lila palette. I'm not sure why she named it a mini Lila when all five shades are unique to this palette, but it doesn't really matter, It's a gorgeous palette and the small size means that it would ideal for travelling. I have also ordered her new Camel palette so a review of that will be coming soon! I also received two other eyeshadows: Marc Jacobs O!mega Gel Powder Eyeshadow in Brav-O!! and an Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eyeshadow. The Hourglass shadow is a cream to powder formula, which is perfect for glitters because it means that there is no fall down and it doesn't irritate even sensitive eyes like mine.

I definitely didn't need another bronzer (see post here) but I have wanted the YSL Les Sahariennes cream bronzer for around two years now, so I was delighted to receive it. I have been using it and it's so easy to work with and the shade I have is perfect for my skin. It looks very natural and is ideal for  my dry skin.

I fell in love with the mini Dual Powder in the By Terry set I reviewed recently (here) and raved about it so much that I received a full size one for my birthday. It's a different shade and I think i love this Apricot Glow even more as it really suits my skin tone. It's described as a dual powder to mattify and highlight but I just swirl my brush around both and use as a blush. Also from By Terry, I received the Lash-Expert Twist Brush mascara, which is a two-in-one mascara that lengthens initially and then when you twist the lid, the brush changes and then adds volume - genius!

My blogging besties (Leanne, Dorota and Dagmara) spoilt me with the stunning Becca Be A Light Face Palette and two Saturday Skin sheet masks: Spotlight Brightening Mask and Quench Intense Hydration Mask. Review of the palette coming soon!

Finally for makeup, I received a Lime Crime Wet Cherry Lip Gloss in the shade Naked Cherry, which is a nude - my favourite lip colour as it will go with all eye looks! I love this gloss - it isn't sticky, it's pigmented and applies evenly.

I received a gorgeous Candle & Diffuser made by Sass & Boho. These are some of the best that I've tried - the scent is stronger than any Jo Malone or Diptyque that I have tried, yet it isn't so potent that it will induce a headache plus they are less than half the price! The scent of the candle fills the room before I even light it.

I don't usually use very fancy nail polishes so I was delighted to receive a Chanel one in the shade Exquisite Pink. The only skincare product I received was Clarins Multi Active Day Cream, which I have used previously and loved. This also came with some Clarins minis, which I will take on holiday next month. I also received some beautiful Champneys products from the As Good As New line - a bubble bath and pillow mist - everyone knows how much I need my sleep!

Finally, I received two gorgeous Kevin Murphy products - Shimmer.Shine, which is a finishing spray to add some shine and Hydrate.Me.Rinse, which is a lightweight yet nourishing conditioner.

Overall, I was thoroughly spoilt and I feel very lucky! If you're a beauty lover, do you receive a lot of beauty gifts on your birthday or is it the opposite, where everyone assumes you have enough and don't buy you anything beauty related? I'd love to hear!
