Christmas Gift Guide: Fragrance & Candles

Christmas Gift Guide: Fragrance & Candles

Have you entered my beauty bundle giveaway here?

This week is flying by - I can't believe I am on my fourth gift guide! If you missed the previous ones you can catch up here, here and here. Each one contains a mixture of products that I have bought myself and products that were kindly sent to me. If a product was sent to me, it will be marked with a * for transparency. I never feature products that I wouldn't be happy to spend my own money on. In the coming weeks, I will be combining some of the gifts in a bundle for a giveaway that will only be open to those who engage with my posts, both here on the blog and on InstagramCandles and perfume are two of my very favourite gifts to receive and I have some great picks to share with you today!

Candles:

MOR Strawberry & White Jasmine*: Not only does this candle look great, it also smells really beautiful with notes of bergamot, jasmine, strawberry and musk among others. It's made from soy wax for a clean burn and should last for 60 hours. Afterwards, it would make a gorgeous brush holder!

L'Occitane Relaxing Candle*:  I love to light a candle a few hours before I go to bed that will help me to relax and this is the perfect one to use. It contains bergamot, lavender, sweet orange, mandarin and geranium - a beautiful combination that instantly helps me to unwind.  This large candle is excellent value and would make a stunning gift.

Beatitude Winter Comfort Candle*:  Available in two sizes, this candle combines the traditional festive scents of cinnamon, clementine and cloves. It is a warm scent that is perfect for cosy winter nights.

Overose Valkiria: These candles are not only aesthetically pleasing but the scent combinations are utterly beautiful. They are all based around roses with this particular one combining fig, coconut and peaches, it really is a beautiful scent.  These candles fill the room with fragrance even when unlit but they aren't overpowering when lit. They burn evenly and last for around 60 hours. Pricey but totally worth it!

Neom Perfect Peace Candle: These candles are beautifully boxed so it isn't necessary to wrap them. There are a few types available but I love this one because it's Christmassy without being too warm in scent. It combines pine, myrrh and lime peel to create a fresh, yet relaxing scent. I like a pine candle around the festive season and love this one because it isn't too sharp (some pine candles smell like toilet cleaner!)

If you want to support small businesses this Christmas, check out Nest Candles and Elm Road. I've reviewed their candles here and here and I highly recommend both.  It's always good to support small businesses, where possible and there is no compromise in quality with both of these brands.

Christmas Gift Guide: Fragrance & Candles

Fragrances:

Angel Eau De Toilette*: A lighter take on the original Angel fragrance. This eau de toilette combines notes of mandarin and peony with praline, berries patchouli and more to create a sweet floral scent that isn't as heavy or cloying as the original. And, of course, it is housed in a stunning bottle!

Azzaro Wanted Girl Gift Set*: I reviewed this fragrance earlier this year and wore it a lot over the summer (review here). It's the perfect balance between a floral and sweet scent, with notes of orange blossom, tonka bean and vanilla, among others. This gorgeous set contains a 30ml fragrance and 100ml body lotion. Layering scents always ensures that it lingers for longer so I love wearing a body lotion and perfume together.

Jimmy Choo Fever Gift Set*:  A warm, rich, spicy, sweet scent that is perfect for winter and the party season. It combines notes of black plum, lychee, vanilla orchid, jasmine and tonka bean among others. It's a strong scent that lingers for hours on the skin. This gorgeous set contains a shower gel and body lotion to layer the fragrance with the perfume. Available from World Duty Free, where there are brilliant savings to be had and don't forget about the Reserve and Collect option!

Jo Loves: I know that everyone raves about Jo Malone fragrances (and I love them too!) but I'd urge you to consider buying a Jo Loves one for a change. Founded by Jo Malone herself, there are so many beautiful scent combinations but my two favourites are Pomelo and White Rose & Lemon Leaves, which I reviewed here.

Escentric Molecules 01: The perfect fragrance to buy for someone who has lots of perfumes because it's pretty unique and smells different on everyone. It combines with the wearer's pheromones to create a scent that is quite subtle yet long-lasting. I think this is the fragrance that I receive most compliments on when I wear it.

If you want to support a small business, please check out Gallivant, whose fragrances I've reviewed here and here. Their Nomad set is particularly great with 6 samples and a £25 voucher off a full size of any fragrance.

Do you like to receive candles or perfumes for Christmas? Will any of these be going on your list?
