Fenty beauty loves.....

FENTY BEAUTY Review
Anything marked with a * was kindly gifted to me, without obligation.

When Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty in 2017, she took the beauty world by storm! Every skin tone was catered for, with 40 shades of foundation (pretty much unheard of at the time, but other brands have since caught up), there were queues just to get to the counters - it was unlike any brand launch we'd seen in years! I bought the original Pro Filt'r Foundation and reviewed it here, but the hydrating version suits my dry skin better (review here). Since then, I've bought a few more products (the cream bronzer is the best I've used), and I was also kindly sent some products (and some skincare, but that's for another day), which I've been testing, and want to share my thoughts on today.....

Pro Filt'r Hydrating Long Wear Foundation: There are 50 shades of this foundation available - surely a shade for everyone? It's described as having a natural finish and medium coverage, which I totally agree with. The coverage is buildable, if you have areas of redness or blemishes, however I personally don't think that full coverage can be achieved with this foundation, but that's where concealers come in! I love how this looks on the skin - not dewy, definitely not matte - just skin-like and natural - basically like a good skin day! I find it to be lightweight on the skin, with excellent longevity. It also doesn't cling to dry patches or fine lines. It's an all round winner for those with normal or dry skin.

Pro  Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer*: Again, there are 50 shades of this concealer available. The first thing that I have to say about this is that a little goes a long way, so just use the tiniest amount, as you can always add more if you need to. It gives pretty full coverage, which is surprising, given how lightweight it is. I love that it doesn't separate or crease in the under-eye area, and it works equally as well on blemishes. I literally have nothing negative to say about this concealer and it's all I'm reaching for at the moment.

Pro  Filt'r Instant Retouch Setting Powder*: If you know me, you'll know that I am not the biggest powder fan, but they have come a long way since I started blogging, when I didn't own ANY powders, as they aged my skin and looked cakey. Since then, I have a few reliables, so I was curious about this one. It is available in 8 shades and is ultra-fine, so it doesn't settle in any fine lines. I use a very small amount and mainly focus on the areas where my mask will be (which is basically most of my face!), but I also use a tiny amount on my forehead too. I don't think that it gives a matte look (which I dis-like), it's more of a polished look, and makeup looks exactly the same hours after application, as it really has amazing staying power.

Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Petal Poppin' and Crush On Cupid*: I already owned one of these and was kindly sent one. I adore the formula, because it's buildable, so don't let the strong colours put you off. I find it best to apply with a sponge or Tati Blendful, as they don't disturb my base underneath. Cream blushes work so well on my dry skin and look so natural. These are among the best I've tried.

Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Bronzer: My favourite cream bronzer! It looks so natural on the skin and blends beautifully to give the skin a naturally bronzed, healthy look. It's the easiest cream bronzer I've used to blend into the skin, without disturbing the base underneath and is even nice to wear on no-makeup days, to look a little healthier and sun-kissed

Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner: I have oily lids and watery eyes, which get more watery in the winter sun - a delightful combination! Therefore, I am very fussy when it comes to liquid liners. I love a fine tip, for the liner to be very black, and, most importantly, for it to be budgeproof. This ticks all of the boxes for me! The fine tip means I can either do a very fine line, or build up to a full on flick, depending on my mood!

Full Frontal Volume Lift & Curl Mascara: I only have a mini of this, but I love the fibre brush, as it really helps to add volume to my lashes. I don't know about it adding curl, because I curl my lashes anyway, but a few coats give the volume I like. It isn't crispy, doesn't flake or smudge and is easy to remove. Another product that is ticking all of my boxes!

Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fu$$y*: I was kindly sent this, but already had one too. This is definitely a universally flattering shade. It feels balmy and very comfortable on the lips, without being sticky, has a doe foot applicator that makes it easy to top up on the go, and smells like sweets - yum!

Sheer Shiny Lipstick Makeout Break: Another beautiful lip product, with a balmy texture. I love the nude shade, as it's so easy to wear with any look (nude lips will always be my favourite!) and, again, easy to top up on the go.

Swatches are completely unedited. From top to bottom: Cream Bronzer in shade 3, Crush on Cupid, Petal Poppin', Fu$$y Lip Luminizer, Makeout Break Lipstick, Flyliner.

Snapshadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palette in Rose*: This is the perfect palette for travelling, or for popping in your bag to take you from day to night. There are 6 shades in a variety of finishes - mattes, shimmers and glitters. I find the mattes to be the most difficult to work with out of the three finishes - the shimmers are buttery soft and the glitter is so easy to apply with your finger. The mattes aren't powdery as such, just a little stiffer than the other shadows, but I can still create a look without any trouble. I think I might pick another one or two of these up, as the size is so convenient and I really hope I'll be well enough to travel next year and these will be perfect if travelling light.

Overall, I'm definitely a big fan of the brand, and this has left me wanting to try more - the highlighters, for example and cream sticks. I'll be keeping an eye out for their festive gift sets!
