I think we've established at this stage that I have dry skin! Because of that, I tend to favour cream complexion products over powder ones. They look fresher and more youthful on my skin and because my skin is dry, I don't need to worry about them disappearing. Today, I'm sharing my top ten favourites - obviously, nobody needs ten blushes (especially when they're all similar colours!) but I just have a weak spot for them! I love how they instantly boost my complexion! My BEAUTYLYMIN code will save you 21% on any of these that are sold on Look Fantastic (not sponsored, I just like to share discounts!)
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand: I love the formula of these but I'm not the biggest fan of the packaging because they get messy and wasteful. Packaging aside, I love the glow that these give the cheeks (a separate highlighter isn't really necessary) and the pigmentation is spot on. I don't apply directly to my cheeks, instead putting it on the back of my hand and applying from there.
Sculpted By Aimee Light Lights: The finish of this is similar to the CT Beauty Light Wands but with a more subtle/less pigmented finish, although it is buildable. It has a doe foot applicator, which I will use either to apply directly to my face and then pat in but it could also be applied to the back of the hand to warm the product up first. The formula is beautiful - lightweight and glowy - what's not to love?
Rodial Blush Drops: I've used several minis of these drops and love them. They have a bit of shimmer running through them but not glitter. They are nicely pigmented - not too heavy, and they blend very easily with either fingers, a brush or sponge. My only complaint is that I'd love more shades.
Maybelline Sunkisser: A brilliant budget option! I love the pigmentation, which is buildable. The wear time is really good and they have a bit of sheen running through them, which helps take the complexion from drab to fab!
Armani Luminous Silk Cheek Tint: I'm a huge Armani Beauty fan and these cheek tints are no exception. I love the shade range, the pigmentation, the texture (not too liquidy but also not stiff), the wear time and how easy they are to blend. I just love how a few dots of this will lift my complexion, making me look less tired in an instant!
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush: As with pretty much all products from this brand that I have tried, this blush is very pigmented - less is more, unless you have blush blindness, in which case just whack it on! I find that I need very little and I love that it's a true blush, as in it doesn't have any shimmer or highlighter running through it (at least the shade that I have doesn't), but it's not flat. I apply to the back of my hand to warm it up a little before applying to the cheeks (just one side at a time, rather than dabbing a little on to both as I find that it sets more quickly than the other options in this post) and blending.
Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush: An oldie but a goodie, I adore these blushes enough to make a repurchase! Beautiful texture - silky without being overly slippy, pigmented (but can be sheered out or built upon), it doesn't budge once applied and there's something about the formula that makes me feel I could apply it with my eyes closed and it would still look good!
Victoria Beckham Beauty Cheeky Posh Blush Stick: Because this is a stick blush, the formula is a little stiffer than the other options in this post, so I always warm up on my hand first and then apply to the cheeks with a stippling brush or sometimes a sponge. Pigmentation and wear time are both immaculate. It's hard to find fault with any products from this brand!
Nudestix Nudies Bloom: Another stick blush, but a little more emollient than the VB one. That said, I still apply to my hand rather than directly to my cheeks. There is a brush on one end, which to be honest, I rarely use because it's not great, plus I like to wash my brushes after two uses maximum and it's just too awkward to wash! That said, some people might like it for on the go. Pigmented, blendable with a satin finish - perfect for spring!
Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Blush Stick: I love everything about these. The packaging feels substantial but not unnecessarily so, the pigmentation is strong so a little will go a long way, and the texture is beautiful - enough slip to blend but not to remove the base product underneath. No notes - I love these!
