Oskia is a brand that I have been using for around 12/13 years. I remember back in the day when every blogger/YouTuber raved about the Renaissance Cleansing Gel but there is so much more to the brand than just that cleanser! I almost always have Oskia in my skincare routine and the Renaissance Mask is one of the few masks that I still use (and am never without) after all these years. Today's post is about the four staple products in my routine.
Super C Smart Nutrient Beauty Capsules: My skin can be quite reactive to Vitamin C products and I've tried some hyped products that really didn't suit my skin over the years. It can leave my skin feeling burnt and uncomfortable but when I find one that works, I love the difference it makes to my skin in terms of glow and a more even skin tone. Vitamin C is also notoriously unstable so I have also previously wasted money on products that have oxidised. These capsules really hit the spot for me because they prevent oxidisation for starters but they also contain a type of Vitamin C that doesn't irritate my skin - Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, which is an oil soluble form of the ingredient. This means that it penetrates the skin quickly and deeply. The capsules also contain Vitamin E, which protects against environmental damage and stressors, as well as Squalane, which nourishes, hydrates and smooths the skin. The glow that these capsules give cannot be denied but the fact that they aren't irritating and are also nourishing is the bonus for me. Plus there is no waste as all ingredients are encapsulated.
Super 16 Advanced Youth-Boosting Collagen Serum: This 'do it all' serum feels like a hug and a chill pill for the skin. It gets its name from the combination of 16 super nutrients and bio actives it contains, all of which help to boost collagen synthesis. These include Vitamins A, C, E and F, Minerals including magnesium, copper and zinc, Omegas 3, 6 & 9 and bio-actives, including hyaluronic acid, Irish sea moss and lupin seed extracts. It has a lightweight texture that layers well with other products, instantly soothing and plumping the skin, and with consistent use skin is strong, plump and elasticized.
Renaissance Mask: This is an exfoliating mask that uses Lactic Acid and fruit acids and enzymes to gently but very effectively exfoliate the skin. If you want to give your skin an instant boost in terms of glow and smoothness, this is the mask for you. It deeply cleanses, brightens, smooths, softens and nourishes the skin in 10 minutes. It is peach in colour but when massaged into the skin, it turns white, at which point you stop massaging and let it do its thing for 10-20 minutes although for very sensitive skin, you may want to remove it after 5-7 minutes. It does tingle slightly but nothing unbearable. When it is removed, skin feels baby soft, smooth to touch and is glowing. The great thing is that it manages to achieve these results without stripping it of any moisture. This will be a forever purchase for me.
Midnight Elixir: I raved about this recently in this post. It's aimed at those aged 40+ who are seeing the signs of ageing in their skin and want to slow down the process and revive the skin. Expect to see bright, firm and more elasticized results with consistent use. It can be used in the eye area as well as the neck, so although expensive, it will replace separate products for those areas. Read the post for a full review!
