Regular readers will know that I'm a nude lip lover through and through. Sometimes pinky nude, sometimes browny nude but nude all the same. Very, very occasionally I will wear something red around the festive season but that's a rarity in all honesty. Autumnal berry lips is something I can on board with but only if the products are berry toned rather than deep red-toned, which just doesn't suit me. I have found the perfect combo....
Fenty Beauty Trace'D Out Pencil Lip Liners have become my favourite lip pencils because the texture is beautiful - neither too hard nor too smudgy, they're pigmented, they last for HOURS and they're comfortable even when worn all over the lips (I find most liners too drying for this purpose).
Bored Heaux is a deep burgundy shade that leans more pink/purple than red. I use this all over my lips, starting with the outline and then filling in. These pencils have a matte finish but they really aren't at all drying so this alone would suffice if you like a matte lip and will last for hours. I, however, love a glossy lip so I love to pair it with Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in the shade Berry.
Dior Addict Lip Glow Oils have a formula that reacts to the pH level of your lips so the colour adjusts to the individual wearing it. They give a mirror shine finish, which I love, and they really hydrate the lips. I have very dry lips so I always have balms and lip oils in my bags, bed side locker, on the coffee table - basically they are wherever I am! The Dior oils contain cherry oil, which intensely hydrates and nourishes without any sticky feeling and it doesn't taste of cherry (a taste that I don't like!).
The matte lip will last a good 8 hours for me but the lip oil is something that I will top up every few hours. It has a great applicator so I don't need to worry about using my fingers to remove any excess (as I tend to do with lip balms and it's not very convenient on the go!).
