Recent purchases #28 featuring Kerastase, This Works, Oskia & more!

Long time, no blog! Every 4th week, I have to take an extra course of antibiotics and they generally make me feel more ill and not up to doing very much. I also have to be careful not to overdo things because I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks and I can't afford to relapse before then. I'm back to my normal meds this week so I'm back getting my blog on and today I'm sharing my recent purchases.

I've been feeling a bit "meh" about my hair recently - it needs a good cut but I haven't been up to going to a hair salon recently because my fatigue is crippling at the moment. I also want to get some Balayage done just to change things up for summer so I'm hoping I'll be able to do that before I go on holiday. In the meantime, I've bought a few products to help make it look a bit better (it feels soft thanks to regular use of hair masks but just a bit lifeless) & get some life back into it.

Kérastase is a brand that I love - almost every product I have tried from the brand has really impressed me so I bought two products: Elixir Ultime and Serum Therapiste (from the Resistance range). I have gone through several bottles of Elixir Ultime and I love it. It is an oil and can be used as a pre-shampoo treatment or pre or post styling. I love the scent and a tiny amount goes a long way so a bottle lasts me over a year. I haven't tried Serum Therapiste before but I love the Resistance range. This is a dual serum and aims to seal and heal the hair and provides heat protection so I'm looking forward to giving it a go!

Show Beauty Premiere Working Texture Spray: I wanted to get something to add some texture to my hair but without stickiness or crispiness and after reading lots of reviews, I decided on this. I tried the Charles Worthington texture spray before but didn't like it and I know that lots of people rave about the Oribe Dry Texturising Spray but this one is less expensive so I thought I'd give it a go. I'll let you know what I think of it soon.

The other two products are repurchases: This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray and Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. Both are products I really love and always buy when there is a 20% discount code available for lookfantastic (which seems to be weekly!). The pillow spray is an absolute life saver for me and really helps me to get a full night's sleep. My sleep was always broken until I started to use this and I can't be without it. Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel is a really beautiful cleanser and I love to use it in the morning but it is equally good as an evening cleanser because the gel/balm breaks down into an oil and it cleanses without stripping the skin and leaves it feeling very soft and comfortable. I have quite a few cleansers already but always like to have it in my bathroom!

Have you tried any of these products? I'd love to hear what your favourite texturising product is? What have your been buying lately? Please tell me in the comments below!
