L'Occitane Herbae Clary Sage and new additions to the Shea range for Spring!

L'Occitane Herbae Clary Sage review, New additions to the Shea range for Spring 2022
These products were kindly gifted to me, without obligation.

You all know what a huge fan of L'Occitane I am, so I get excited whenever they release a new product - seriously, it could be an anti-fungal cream and I'd be excited! Don't worry, I'm not about to talk about any products like that, instead, it's all about the latest additions to their beloved shea range, and their latest fragrance release - Herbae Clary Sage. Any of these products would make fabulous Mother's Day gifts (it will creep up on us next month!)

Regular readers will know that I adore the original shea range, so any variation on it, is bound to be a hit with me. The latest offering is the Delicate Shea range, and it is exquisite! The packaging epitomises the name perfectly - it looks so delicate and feminine (not that you can't be feminine without being delicate!), with the dainty, floral design.

The scent is a combination of rose and violet, mixed with musk and vanilla, for a very soft, comforting, but light, fragrance - ideal for Spring.

There are four products in the range, and I was kindly sent three: an Ultra Light Cream, which has a light mousse texture, yet it nourishes like a rich body cream. It applies and sinks into the skin so easily, so you don't need to stand around in the cold waiting to get dressed, plus a little goes a long way. It's the perfect Spring body moisturiser.

The second product is a Light Hand Cream. If you watch my empties on Instastories, you will know that I always have at least one L'Occitane hand cream in each batch! I just love how nourishing they are, particularly the shea ones, as they are already rich in Omegas 3&6, plus Vitamin E, but this one also contains a blend of almond, honey and coconut oil, along with the Delicate fragrance (obviously!). It is ultra nourishing, but also non-greasy. I use hand cream numerous times every day, but part of my wind-down routine is doing a hand massage with a L'Occitane hand cream, making sure that I massage it into my cuticles and nails too - divine!

Finally, there is a lip balm, which is every bit as dreamy as you'd expect if you've tried a L'Occitane Shea Lip Balm before - nourishing, and it keeps your lips soft and supple. The final item is a nail & cuticle oil, which I have just added to my basket!

As you can tell, I love this range. Everything from the packaging to the scent, screams Spring to me, and I'm here for it!

L'Occitane Herbae Clary Sage
This was kindly gifted to me, without obligation.

Now on to the new fragrance: Herbae Clary Sage. There are shower gels, body lotions, hand creams, soaps and more in this range, which I love, as layering products makes the scent last longer.  When this first arrived, I couldn't smell a thing (post-Covid), now my sense of smell is coming and going, which is a start! I wore this every day anyway, and waited to see if my husband would comment, which he did (without prompting!). The description had me even before I could smell it, as it's likened to a clear Spring day in Provence - aromatic, invigorating, and slightly floral. Now I have never spent a Spring day in Provence, but it's my favourite season, so anything that is reminiscent of that, will always bring a smile to my face.

The notes are wild grass, clary sage, bitter orange, bergamot, and red thyme. It's fresh, without being either too green, nor too zesty, and it settles to a woody, musky scent, which I think makes it perfect for both day and night wear, and will be worn well into the Summer months too.  I can see this being in strong rotation over the coming months.

I have to mention the bottle - I love that the fragrance is pink and that the neck of it is almost like a wallpaper, which is the print all over the box too. The triangular shape of the bottle also appeals. Now all I need is a little trip to Provence.... for research purposes, of course!

There is free delivery on all orders until midnight on Sunday (27th), so if any of these products, or anything else on the L'Occitane site catches your eye, now is the time to grab it! I know that most people hate paying delivery, so that's your sign to place an order!

Has anything here caught your eye? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Thanks for reading!
