A general gift guide for all budgets

A general gift guide for all budgets
Anything marked with a * was kindly gifted to me, without obligation.

This gift guide will contain some products that were seen in previous years but I love them so much and still think that they make great gifts. There's something for all budgets and some are non-beauty!

Ugg slippers review

Ugg slippers: I think that I am on my fourth pair of these slippers (I wear them daily, so for those who aren't at home as often as I am, they will last longer, but I get roughly a year out of each pair). They are comfortable, cosy and supportive, and although pricey (for slippers), they're worth keeping in your wishlist on certain sites because they will often go into the sale.

Neom Wellbeing Diffuser: My mother bought me one of these probably around 3 years ago now, and I'd say that I've used it pretty much every day since. It contains a container for water, which you add a few drops of oil to (depending on your mood), and you can leave it on for hours every day, or for a specific time period - 1-3 hours. The scent fills the room and you don't have to worry about fumes, plus it's more cost effective than using candles. There are three sizes available. I bought one for my mother's bedside locker and my husband's desk, plus I have two for the house. Save 21% by using the code BEAUTYLYMIN on Look Fantastic.

Venchi Chocolates: I discovered this brand when I was in Rome - it was actually while queuing for some gelato that I spotted the beautifully wrapped chocolates and I bought some for the family home that Christmas. They are expensive, so, I don't give them to any of the kids - they're happy with Heroes/Celebrations etc. These are kept for the adults and are a real indulgence, plus the tins are always kept as they are so exquisitely designed.

Pillow Spray: I can't sleep without a pillow spray and have used them for probably a decade. I think they'd make a great gift for anyone who has trouble either getting to sleep, or staying asleep. Just a quick spritz before bed, on the pillow and duvet and I pretty much guarantee that they'll make a difference!

Jo Loves Diffuser: If you prefer not to use candles and also don't want to use a plug in diffuser like the one listed above, then it's hard to beat one from this brand. I think that this would make a fabulous house-warming or Christmas gift, or a combination of both. Fig Trees is a fresh, yet delicate scent that fills the room with fragrance, yet not in an overpowering way, plus refillable bottles of the fragrance are available to buy. The diffuser itself is very understated and will fit into any room.

Silk Pillowcase: I began using silk pillowcases during the pandemic because I lost so much hair the first time I had Covid and it really worried me, so I started a regime of products, supplements and a silk pillow case and haven't looked back. I actually own four now and not only have I noticed a difference in my hair (in terms of how smooth it is, but less damage), but also my skin is thanking me too. I will never be without one again. They're pricey, but expensive. Currently reduced, but you can save an extra 21% by using the code BEAUTYLYMIN on Look Fantastic.

Image Skincare Refine Youthful Skin Set Review

Image Skincare Refine Youthful Skin Set*: This set is brilliant value. It has 3 products, which are all you need for your night-time routine, which will guarantee you brighter skin the next morning. It contains a brightening, exfoliating cleanser, a facial illuminator serum and a Vitamin C repair cream, all housed in a great sized cosmetic bag - ideal for travelling. This trio will give skin a more even tone, refined pores, nourished and plump skin, that looks brighter overall.

Lancôme Absolue Regenerating Brightening Soft Cream

Lancôme Absolue Regenerating Brightening Soft Cream*: This range is *the one* for anybody who is concerned is skin losing its firmness, or looking dull. It leaves skin immaculately soft, firms slackening skin and gives the skin an overall radiant and lifted look. It's also refillable. Expensive, but 100% worth it.

Dermalogica The Gift Of Skin Health Review

Dermalogica The Gift Of Skin Health*: This is the ideal gift set for those who don't have time to visit the salon but want to take care of their skin, or prep for a special occasion. It contains a 50ml Special Cleansing Gel, which can be used morning and night, a 13g Daily Microfoliant, and 3 Rapid Reveal Peel, which applied all over the face (avoiding the eyes) and left to work for 3-7 minutes. This is initially used once every 3 days, and weekly afterwards, so this set will show a real difference in the first 10 days - perfect for a post-Christmas or New Year skin re-set!

I'd love to hear how you are getting on with your shopping? Are you organised or do you prefer the last minute rush? I hope my gift guides have provided some inspiration!
