If you've read my blog for any amount of time, you'd know that I'm all about glowing skin. You'll also know that I love to use a primer - a primer that hydrates and adds some glow is my go-to because I have dry skin. I have five to share with you today that I love, and they also double as a great base product for minimal makeup days.
Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer*: This is a classic that has been around for years. I love that it instantly takes my skin from drab to fab. It adds luminosity and hydrates the skin so that it looks plump and youthful. Foundation applies beautifully over it without any pilling or separating. If I decide to wear this without foundation, I use a little powder over my cheeks as this is where my pores are most visible and this primer can sometimes highlight rather than blur them but I love the glow it gives overall and how lightweight it is.
Poco Beauty Universal Glow Treatment: I love this product because it's skincare meets makeup but with added SPF. It feels hydrating, makes skin look plump and juicy, reduces redness and basically looks like my skin but a lot better!! Worn alone, it adds life to my complexion and under a foundation, it provides a hydrating base. I love that it is available in two sizes because the mini is perfect for travelling.
Vieve Skin Nova: Another skincare meets makeup gem! This has a light gel texture that applies so easily and evenly and brings some life to the skin. It brightens, adds glow and hydrates. Worn alone, it makes me look like I've had 10 hours of sleep but it also works beautifully as a primer under foundation or skin tints. Dewy skin in an instant!
Vieve Super Skin Nova: For those with very dry skin, this really provides extra hydration and nourishment to the skin. It instantly replenishes, soothes and adds glow but without looking like you're wearing any product. It really is a 'your skin but a helluva lot better' product. Ideal as a standalone base product but also works beautifully under foundation.
Dior Forever Glow Star Filter: This really does act like a filter for the skin - it blurs the visibility of pores, evens skin tone and adds some glow to make skin look plump and luminous. I love that it's available in a variety of shades because that makes it easy to wear instead of foundation. It adds a hint of coverage but not so much that foundation looks heavy when worn over it. It's versatile because it can be worn as a base product, can be worn under foundation or mixed with it, or can be dabbed onto the high points of the cheeks to highlight. I've worn this all summer instead of foundation!
