Empties & Speedy Reviews #32 featuring Korres, Glamglow, Mario Badescu & more!

Another month, another empties post! I actually don't have as big a pile as normal but I have really focused on finishing products that have been hanging around for a while, which is something I will continue to do as my skincare cabinet is fit to burst! I have quite a few products that have around 1/3 left in them so I am going to prioritise using those first and I am being quite strict on not purchasing a product if I have a similar one open. On to this month's empties & speedy reviews!

Skincare:

Glamglow GravityMud: I've tried all of the Glamglow face masks - some are great (ThirstyMud), some not so great (FlashMud) but this one falls in between - it isn't bad but I have other masks that give better results. I liked the peel off aspect of this mask and it definitely left my skin looking brighter but not necessarily firmer when I used it. I have no plans to repurchase but if I saw a small pot for sale then I might pick it up.

Oils of Heaven Natural Cacay Anti-Aging Face Oil: This oil was sent to me last year and I really loved it. I had never heard of Cacay Oil before this was sent to me but it should get more hype because it contains 3 times more retinol than rose hip Oil, 50% more Vitamin E and twice as much Linoleic Acid as Argan Oil. It is really nourishing, absorbs quickly and left my skin feeling really soft and more even in texture. I have around 5 other oils on the go at the moment but when they are finished, I may repurchase.

Nude Progenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil: I absolutely loved the original Progenius oil but when it came to the time to repurchase, that was unavailable so I bought this Rescue Oil. This oil contains Omegas 3 & 6, Vitamin C, cold pressed rose hip oil and bakuchiol, which is nature's alternative to retinol. Whilst I really like this oil - my pores looked more refined when I used it, it absorbs quickly and is moisturising, I much prefer the original because my dry skin enjoyed it more. I think that this skin would be perfect for skin that is slightly more combination than dry. For that reason, I won't repurchase, however if I can find the original oil, I would definitely buy that one.

Korres Wild Rose Advanced Brightening Face Oil: Now this is one of the best oils I have ever used! Korres kindly sent it to me and I was instantly hooked so it made its way into my daily skincare routine. This oil is light in texture so it is perfect for my morning routine - I sometimes add it to my moisturiser and sometimes wear it alone. Instantly, my skin looks brighter and is deeply moisturised without being greasy and my makeup applies beautifully over it. This is the least expensive of the three oils that I have finished but it is easily my favourite of the three. If you have dry, fatigued skin - do yourself a favour and buy this! I already have a back up!

Galore Cosmetics Anti-Aging Eye Perfection Creamy Gel: This is another product that was sent to me and I really enjoyed using it. I find that eye gels are not moisturising enough for my eye area but they are good for reducing puffiness, so this product is perfect for me because it is a cream-gel hybrid. It reduces puffiness and moisturises at the same time leaving my eye area looking less fatigued. I have 3 other eye creams on the go at the moment but when I finish those, I may repurchase this because I really enjoyed using it.

Haircare:

John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume Conditioner: I really love this John Frieda range and was delighted to receive 3 products to try. This conditioner doesn't weigh the hair down at all, really moisturises the hair and the combination of using this with the shampoo and In-Shower Treatment, really made a difference to my hair in terms of volume. I have 2 other conditioners at the moment, but will repurchase this in the future.

Kérastase Elixir Ultime Hair Oil: One of my favourite hair oils ever - just the tiniest amount is needed per use and it can be used pre or post blowdry to nourish the hair and reduce frizz. It isn't too heavy in texture so it doesn't weigh the hair down or contribute to buildup. I adore the fragrance because it reminds me of Calvin Klein Escape perfume. I will definitely repurchase.

Bodycare:

Mario Badescu Elbow & Heel Smoothing Cream: This is a love/hate product for me. I absolutely hate the sticky/gel texture but love the smoothing & softening effects. It definitely isn't my favourite foot cream by a long shot but it's inexpensive and effective. I have another foot cream on the go so won't repurchase.

E45 Moisturising Body Lotion: I love this lightweight body lotion, especially in the winter months. Despite its light texture, it is really moisturising and perfect for use on really dry, rough skin. It absorbs quickly so I can get dressed immediately after application. It can be used all over the body, hands, feet and face and the pump is really convenient. I will repurchase.

Korres Basil Lemon Body Milk: I absolutely adore the fresh scent of this body lotion - it reminds me of Jo Malone Lime, Basil & Mandarin but the products don't have the hefty price tag. This body milk was sent to me along with some other body products and I have genuinely loved using all of them. You will have seen some of the others in previous empties posts and you will see more in future empties posts because I am hooked! These body milks absorb quickly but really nourish my skin without any greasiness or residue. I will repurchase!

Korres Bergamot Pear Hand Cream: Korres also sent this hand cream to me in one of their Christnas Gift Sets and I absolutely adore the scent. It is nourishing but not greasy and the scent lingers until I next wash my hands. I only need to apply a small amount to my hands and they feel very comfortable and soft afterwards. I have another Korres hand cream on the go but will repurchase in the future.

This empties post is a lot shorter than usual but I thought it was a good time to do it because sometimes the posts are ridiculously long! I would love to hear your thoughts on the above products - have you tried them? Are you tempted to try them? What have you finished up recently? I would love to hear in the comments below!
