Pre-Christmas Pamper routine

This is my last post of the year so before I get into it, I want to thank you all for reading my blog this year - thank you for taking the time to comment and thank you for the support. I love that I have developed some great friendships as a result of this blog. I know that some people say that blogs are dying and that Instagram is the way to go but my blog will always be my first love!

Today, I am talking you through my pre-Christmas pamper routine. I like to buff myself from head to toe and just prep my skin so that it's looking as clear and glowing as possible!

Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts: Any pamper routine has to start with a bath, in my opinion, and these salts always guarantee me a good nights sleep so they are an essential around Christmas when things are busy and there are so many events/late nights etc as I always function better after a decent sleep. £10-42.

Ouai Scalp & Body Scrub: This sugar scrub leaves both my body and scalp so soft and smooth but doesn't leave any residue, which I love. It's the perfect pre-tan product as all fake tans apply more evenly on smooth skin. £32.

NYK 1 Tan Force Self Tanning Mousse: I always feel better with a tan so whether it's winter or summer, applying fake tan is part of my weekly routine! I was nervous when I first used this tan as it doesn't have a guide colour, which I usually depend on to ensure I am streak-free, but I need not have worried because I always manage to achieve an even tan by using long strokes on my limbs and circular motions on my feet/ankles. This tan gives the skin a beautiful, golden colour that lasts a good 7 days on me. It dries really quickly so I don't have to stand around naked for too long in the cold! I also love that it doesn't dry my skin out in the way that some tanning mousses do so it doesn't fade patchily. Two coats of this and I will be tanned for a week! £24.95.

Nurse Jamie Uplift Facial Massaging Beauty Roller: I use this massager on a daily basis but it will be particularly useful over the Christmas period as it helps to reduce puffiness in the under eye area and helps to eliminate toxins. I also find it a very relaxing thing to do! £55.

Omorovicza Silver Saviour Mask: For baby soft skin that is calm and clear, a face mask is a must and this Omorovicza offering is perfect for once weekly use to deeply cleanse pores, bright and smooth skin. Full review here. £65.

Emma Hardie Plump & Glow Hydrating Facial Mist: To ensure that my skin is glowing and plump, it is essential that I layer hydrating products and a mist is the perfect product to use. This can be applied as part of my skincare routine (after a cleansing mask or acid product) or to prep my skin for foundation, over foundation or just to refresh during the day. This particular Emma Hardie Mist contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin, aloe vera to soothe the skin and peppermint to cool and refresh the skin. An all round winner and an essential when the central heating threatens to dry the skin out and it will help to bring the glow when eating too many treats threatens breakouts and dull skin. £42.

Emma Hardie Moringa Renewal Treatment Mask: I find that multi-masking is a guaranteed way to make my skin look good! This mask drenches and nourishes the skin to ensure that it is plump and glowing. It contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin, moringa seed oil to plump the skin, red algae to tackle dark spots and amino acids to brighten the skin. To combat the effects of late nights, overindulgence in food and drinks, I will be applying this mask and leaving it on overnight to ensure that my skin is looking its best. Plump, hydrated, glowing skin is always the aim! £49.

Benecos Nail Polish: I always have my nails painted and always do them myself rather than go to a salon. I have three new polishes from Benecos to choose from: Licorice, which is a glossy black that will match all outfits, Vamp, which is a deep purple colour and Flamingo, which is a medium pink shade. These nail polishes are cruelty-free, vegan and 90% natural. They don't make my nails brittle, which is a real bonus. £4.95.

CND World Weekly Top Coat: No matter what nail polish I use, I always apply a top coat and this CND product is one of the very best as it ensures that my polish will be chip-free for at least a week, sometimes longer. I also find that it helps my nail polish to dry more quickly too, which is a bonus! £6.90.

I'll be doing this routine tomorrow night to ensure that I am looking and feeling my best for Christmas week. I'm spending Christmas with my in-laws and I don't want to overpack as have only booked one bag on the flight, so I know that by prepping my skin and body with these products, I will be good to go. I'm bringing the two Emma Hardie products with me to maintain my glow when I am away.

I hope that you all enjoy the festive season with your loved ones and that you have some time off to recharge your batteries in preparation for 2019.
