Jo Loves fragrances have stolen my heart!

I have declared my love for Jo Malone fragrances so many times on the blog but now that I have tried Jo Loves (created by the actual Jo Malone herself!), I am hooked! If you are unaware of the back story, Jo Malone created the brand Jo Malone London in her kitchen, with Lime Basil & Mandarin being her breakthrough fragrance. It wasn't long until her brand became a worldwide hit. In 1999, she sold the company to Estée Lauder Companies and after a period of ill health, she left the company completely. When her health improved, she began to play around with fragrances again and Jo Loves was born.

There are 13 fragrances in the range but I've only had the opportunity to try three as my local Space NK isn't the biggest so it doesn't hold a huge number of products from each brand. Each scent has a collection of products in the range - fragrance, candles, shower gels, body lotions, body crémes and bath colognes. As you'd expect from a luxury brand, the products are expensive, starting at £40 but they really are a treat product. The packaging is very different from the original Jo Malone brand - white with black print a simple font and a red dot under the logo. Each product is housed in a white box with the black logo and a red ribbon.

The fragrances are in both 50ml and 100ml bottles but they also have paintbrushes available, which contain 18ml of product and are easy to pop in your handbag. I find that Jo Loves scents last longer on my skin than Jo Malone - I, or others, can still smell them on me after a good 8 hours. Of course, layering products (shower gel and body lotion) makes a scent last even longer but I don't own any of the body products.....yet!! The two scents that I have are Pomelo and White Rose and Lemon Leaves. I also previously had a sample of Jo By Jo Loves and loved that too.

Pomelo instantly makes me think of summer but not in a warm or cocoutty way that Beach Goddess does. This is a fresh, crisp and zesty fragrance that some may think is best suited to summer but I like to wear it all year round. It smells like grapefruit with a faint hint of rose but as it dries down, it's almost musky due to the base notes of suede of patchouli. I think both men and women would enjoy wearing it.

White Rose & Lemon Leaves is a truly beautiful scent. Please don't be put off if you don't usually like anything rose scented as this is a soft, powdery rose that is balanced perfectly with citrus notes. The combination means that it isn't too sharp in terms of zestiness but also isn't too floral. It smells clean and like a breath of fresh air.

If neither of these appeal to you, there are so many others to choose from on the Jo Loves site and they offer international shipping. I am absolutely hooked on these scents and next on my to buy list is Orange Butterflies!

Available to purchase from Cult Beauty, Space NK and Jo Loves.
