AHC Hydrating Essential Real Eye Cream Review - love at first use!

AHC Hydrating Essential Real Eye Cream Review - love at first use!

Being a beauty blogger, I am lucky enough to be sent some products (although please know that I am fussy with what I accept as I hate waste). The great part of this is that I sometimes get to try products from brands that I might not have heard of before. Today's product is from one such brand, although I'm sure if I'd read about this product, I'd have snapped it up. The brand in question is AHC, which is Korea's fasted growing skincare line and the product in question is AHC Hydrating Essential Real Eye Cream*. This was a love/obsession at first use product and I've already ordered a backup! This is not something that happens very frequently with me.

Just the name Eye Cream for the Face had me intrigued, but first, let me tell you about the brand. AHC stands for Aesthetic, Hydrating, Cosmetics and it's actually 21 years old. It hails from South Korea, where the products were originally developed for use within clinics and salons, There are three main principles to the line of products: advanced skincare science, thoughtful formulations and optimised applications.

The first products to launch into the UK (via LookFantastic) are this Hydrating Essential Real Eye Cream*, (one is sold every three seconds in Korea), as well as Aqua Essential Masks and the Aqualuronic Range. (You can be sure that I'll be buying products from those ranges too!)

I must admit that I expected a very thick, rich cream to be in the tube so I was surprised to find that it is actually quite lightweight and it absorbs immediately upon application, yet skin still feels soft hours after application. It contains a blend of collagen, 12 peptides, and 7-patented active ingredients and the aim is to increase elasticity of the skin, improve firmness and improve texture.

AHC uses a Microsome Technology to create a super fine emulsion system, which makes the active ingredients smaller than pores, which means the penetrate the skin more deeply and they release the active ingredients by reacting to the skin's temperature. I'm no scientist so I can't run any lab tests to say if this is true but in my experience of using this moisturiser, I can attest to the fact that my skin instantly feels smooth, plump, hydrated and comfortable. It looks dewy without a hint of greasiness and the soft feeling lasts all day. It works well as a base for makeup and doesn't pill when SPF is applied over it.

It has won me (and my awkward skin) over, completely. From first use,  I was amazed at how comfortable my skin felt and how radiant it looked (despite me being chronically ill - seriously, it's a miracle worker). It doesn't leave a residue and isn't heavy so I think that all kin types would enjoy this moisturiser.

I am really delighted that this landed on my desk and really look forward to trying more from the brand. Exclusive to Look Fantastic.
