While September's weather confused us, with some very sunny days, there is no doubting that it is Autumn now and the temperature really has dropped. Given this, I've added a few more products into my routine, to help combat any dry patches and keep my skin happy. I'm still using the majority of products that I've shown you over the past few months, but I've added a few new (or repurchased) ones in too.

Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm*: In the morning, I still tend to use a cleansing cream or gel, but for my night-time routine, I can't resist a balm. This is an affordable brand that produces quality products. If you don't like the scent of eucalyptus, you'll want to skip this one, but I love it (and it helps with my sinuses!), so it's a pleasure to apply this to my skin every evening. It's applied to dry skin and massaged in thoroughly, to break down any makeup, spf and general grime you may have accumulated during the day (particularly if you live in a city/use public transport). Once everything has melted, adding water will emulsify the balm, then I give another massage before removing with a damp cloth. What I love is that my skin doesn't feel at all stripped - just completely clean and comfortable.

L'Occitane Immortelle Reset*: I reviewed the original version of this in 2018 (post here), and since its release, it has become one of the brand's best selling products. If you are sensitive to essential oils (as I am), you may have an issue with the Immortelle, but I personally haven't had any issues. This updated version contains both oil and water from the Immortelle flower (addressing dehydration and lack of moisture), and now contains a new sap-like extract from the plant, plus 10 times more immortelle essential oil, plus marjoram and acmella oleracea, the latter of which I will admit that I had never heard of before this original of this product, but it acts like botox by relaxing the muscles. I can tell you that if I skip using this for even one night, I can see it in my skin the next day. Somehow, no matter what stress or illness I am going through, it seems to boost the radiance in my skin and make it look fresher (which is particularly helpful after sleepless nights or nights of disturbed sleep). I love applying it, as the small yellow bubbles of Immortelle essential oil burst, when it's massaged into the skin. This is applied before serum, eye cream, moisturiser and oil (if using). I think it is the perfect product for people who lead very busy lives, parents with young children, people with illness and more, because it basically looks on the skin like sleep in a bottle.

Oskia Super 16 Serum: I've bought this several times since I first tried it around 5 years ago. Not only is it hydrating, but it boosts collagen production, and with consistent use, I always find that my skin feels stronger, firmer and more elasticized. I recently repurchased it, after not having a bottle for around a year. I just really felt that I needed it back in my routine, particularly for winter.  The name comes from the 16 super nutrients and bio-actives that it contains, all of which aim to reduce signs of ageing and strengthen the skin - it does exactly what is says on the tin!

Dermalogica Melting Moisture Masque*: I did a full review of this masque in this post and the love is still going strong! My only gripe is that it's difficult to pump out - the pump seems very stiff, which is good in that you won't dispense too much product, however, the downside is that it's very difficult to get the product out. That said, it's worth the effort, because the texture is so buttery and balmy, and a little gores a long way once applied. It contains shea butter, fatty acids, vitamin E, and some anti-inflammatory ingredients. My favourite way to use it is as an overnight mask, because I'm guaranteed to wake to plump, calm, silky soft skin. This may just be my favourite product discovery of the year!

Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil: If you have dry skin, this oil will honestly work wonders for you! I apply a few drops at night (sometimes in the morning, if my skin is feeling tight or uncomfortable), and I can instantly feel my skin relax. When I use this at night, as a last step in my routine, my skin looks plump and glowing the next morning. It is made from 100% Marula Oil, which contains Omegas 6 and 9 and vitamin E, so it's extremely nourishing, but also protective against free radicals. I don't find that it clogs my pores at all, it just leaves my skin soft and radiant. A must have for the colder months!

Have you switched up your routine yet, or added in any new products to your regular routine? I'd love to hear!
