It is scary how quickly this year is flying by! Are you team 'Autumn can't come quick enough' or team 'I don't want summer to end'? I have to say that I love summer and would love another mini heatwave before we go into the colder months! Today I want to share the beauty products that I have loved and reached for the most over the past month.
Rodial Soft Focus Glow Drops: I use these drops as a primer and I love the diffused look that they give to my skin, as well as some glow but not in a disco ball way! They feel soothing and hydrating but not at all greasy. They provide the perfect canvas for my base products.
Victoria Beckham Beauty The Foundation Drops: I held off for as long as I could but I received a voucher for my birthday and decided to splurge on these drops. Wow, they're expensive but I have to say that I just adore the finish on my skin. Full coverage lovers will not enjoy this product but if like me, you like light coverage (buildable to medium-ish), you will love this. It combines skincare with foundation, which my dry skin loves. I don't find that I have to use a lot of product to achieve the coverage I want and I love the formula as it's so easy to apply and blends seamlessly for a natural, polished, radiant finish. Another great product from this brand!
Dior Forever Glow Maximizer Liquid Highlight in the shade Peachy: J'adore the Dior glow range! This highlighter/blush hybrid provides the perfect amount of pigmentation for a flush of colour, which isn't too intense. I know a lot of people have blush blindness these days but I personally prefer a flush of colour. The finish is beautiful - glowy but not glittery and I find that it lasts for hours on my dry skin without settling into fine lines.
Fenty Beauty Hella Extra Mascara-Boosting Lash Primer: I've dabbled with lash primers over the years (the Marc Jacobs Beauty one was my favourite before the brand's recent revival). They're not a necessity but I like a dramatic lash and find that a good primer really does help to add volume. I'm a huge fan of Fenty Beauty in general, so thought I'd give this one a try and I'm glad I did. It doesn't feel heavy on the lashes but it definitely helps to add some volume. It's easy to remove, doesn't make my lashes feel crispy and helps to give the false lash look. Love it!
Fenty Beauty Hella Thicc Volumizing Mascara: I have been toying with the idea of trying a brown mascara for a while so thought I'd try this one as it looked like a deep brown in any photos I'd seen. It hasn't disappointed - it really adds volume, holds a curl, doesn't flake or smudge nor does it make my lashes look crispy. Overall, I'm delighted with this addition to my makeup bag.
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb in the shade Sweet Mouth: I love a glossy lip and have worn this product for years in the shade Fu$$y for years but wanted something a little more pink so picked up Sweet Mouth and I love it. It's an easy to wear, everyday shade for a pinky-nude lip lover! It has a high shine finish that helps to make my lips look full and juicy. Love it!
Byredo Bal D'Afrique: I bought the body mist version of this for summer and loved it so much so I was delighted to receive a bottle of the perfume for my birthday. It combines notes of bergamot, lemon, neroli, African marigold, violet, musk and amber among others. Woody, fresh with a very faint hint of spice - it's perfect for everyday wear.
Sculpted by Aimee Face Sun Mist: This mist is ideal for topping up my SPF throughout the day on days where I am wearing makeup. It feels lightweight and the mist is so fine that it doesn't disturb my makeup. It's the perfect handbag size too!
I'd love to hear what you've been loving this month?
