Summer 2025 beauty edit: Skin, Body, Fragrance, Makeup

Summer 2025 beauty edit

I feel like my beauty preferences have changed a lot in recent years. I've definitely zoned out of having to have the latest release (because I finally figured out that I only have one face and I can't keep up with all of the new releases anyway!) and I generally know what works well for me. I do still switch things up seasonally, although sometimes in Ireland it feels as though we only have two seasons and go directly from one to the other! Today I'm talking about the products that I'm currently loving and will be in rotation for the coming months. I'm including skincare, bodycare, makeup and fragrance (but in all honesty, we know how I feel about fragrances, so I will undoubtedly use more than I mention here!).

Summer 2025 skincare faves

Skincare
: Obviously, the most important product in my daily routine is SPF and my (incredibly fussy when it comes to SPF) skin is loving La Roche Posay Anthelios SPF 50 and Yonka Crème Solaire SPF 50*. Both work really well on my dry skin - they absorb well, don't pill and feel nourishing. In terms of my regular skincare routine, it's quite streamlined compared to how it used to be. In the morning, I use a cream cleanser - Kate Somerville Goat Milk Moisturising Cleanser is my current go-to, followed by a few spritzes of Curel Deep Moisture Spray - fine mist and delivers a nice dose of moisture to keep my skin feeling plump and comfortable. I then follow with Shiseido Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream (it does as the name suggests!), Oskia Super-C Smart Beauty Capsules to protect and brighten my skin, and Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules, which nourish and plump my skin. I seal all of this in with Yonka Vital Defense*, which contains Vitamins A,C & E, which help to protect against environmental aggressors and it also contains peptides, which plump my skin. At night, I use Elemis Pro Collagen Cleansing Balm, followed by the Goat Milk Cleanser and I rotate between Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair (followed by moisturiser), Oskia Midnight Elixir and Drunk Elephant A-Passioni Retinol Cream, and the afore-mentioned eye cream. I used to have around 30 products (or more!) in rotation, but I am really liking this set of products. Around five days out of seven, I use my Currentbody LED Light Therapy Mask Series 2* (the code LYMINCB will save you 10%), which I credit to me being happier with a streamlined skincare routine because my skin is looking better overall - less inflamed, more plump and elasticized. I would happily forego luxury skincare for one of these masks if the choice had to be made. I'm also using my ZIIP Halo* pretty much daily (BEAUTYLYMIN will save you 10%), which makes a HUGE difference in terms of the contours of my face, reducing puffiness that can occur due to disturbed sleep/the mini heatwaves we seem to have every few weeks, and it also stimulates collagen production for an overall fresher look. These two beauty devices combined have me covered, regardless of what skincare products I use. I will give a further review of the ZIIP Halo in time.

Summer 2025 bodycare faves

Bodycare: I am a weekly fake tanner (Loving Tan 2 Hr Express is the best for a natural, even, streak-free tan that will last a good 5-7 days and because it's express, it won't ruin your bedsheets! My BEAUTYLYMIN code will save you 21% on Look Fantastic if you're interested), which can be drying on the skin, so I always moisturise my body from tip to toe. In summer especially, I love a lotion that will dry quickly so I have been reaching for Yonka Energising Body Milk* because not only does it smell divine (citrus but not too sharp), it really locks in moisture and dries instantly. I also recently finished a tube of their Moisturising and Detoxifying Body Milk, which again dried instantly and had a beautiful calming scent. If I have a shower or bath in the evening, I love to use an oil and my current go-tos are Mirror Water Smooth Body Oil, which is super nourishing and leaves the skin with a gorgeous sheen, and Luna Daily The Skin Support Oil, which helps to fade pigmentation. I'm also using Margaret Dabbs Foot Hygiene Cream, which is great for summer because not only is is SUPER nourishing, it also contains tea tree oil  and salicylic acid, which help to combat fungal infections and odour. Obviously SPF is very important during the day too and I love to use Lancaster Sun Sport Invisible Cooling Mist SPF50.

Summer 2025 fragrance faves

Fragrance: This is where is gets tricky because I love so many perfumes but the ones that I am reaching for most often at the moment are Jo Malone Beach Blossom, which has notes of coconut water, lime, mint and tonka bean - think of it as the older sister version of Bronze Goddess (which I also love!), Byredo Blanche, which smells fresh and clean - basically like freshly laundered linen but better, Parfums De Marly Delina, which is an exquisite blend of notes - lychee, Turkish rose, peony and vanilla to name some, and the result is a truly beautiful, feminine (but not girly) scent. I also find myself reaching for Escentric Molecules M01 a lot because it lasts really well on my skin and leans slightly masculine, which I really like on very humid days. And, of course, it wouldn't be summer without Jo Loves Pomelo, which is a sparkling citrus scent that isn't too sharp.

Summer 2025 makeup favesMakeup: I'm very much going for a fresh look that can be done in under 10 minutes these days. I'm loving Dior Forever Glow Star Filter, which evens the skin out, adds some glow but in a natural, healthy looking way and has a tiny amount of coverage. I love to use this as a standalone product with concealer on minimal makeup days, or under foundation if I want more coverage. My go-to foundations are Armani Luminous Silk (can never be without this!), Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Get Tint and IT Cosmetics CC Cream. It really just depends on how much coverage I want. Concealer-wise, I'm loving Makeup by Mario Surreal Skin Awakening Concealer because it provides coverage but looks natural and doesn't get cakey. In terms of blush, Armani Luminous Silk Cheek Tint is my favourite for a very fresh look and if I'm using a powder, I've gone back to Nars Orgasm, which is a classic for a reason. I've been loving Westman Atelier Face Trace Contour Stick to add some subtle definition and Rare Beauty Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick because it blends like an absolute dream for a naturally sun-kissed look. If I want to use a powder bronzer, it's Armani Luminous Silk Bronzer, which doubles as an eyeshadow for me (Use the code BEAUTYLYMIN to save 21% on this and so many other products at the checkout on LookFantastic). It's so finely milled that it's quick and easy to apply and blend into the skin. I'm loving Victoria Beckham Beauty Satin Kajal Liner in Cocoa as a tightliner but also smudged along the lashline with a slick of her Vast Lash Mascara, which I recently repurchased because I love the voluminous effect it gives my lashes and it doesn't require any tugging for removal. For everyday lips, I'm loving YSL Loveshine Plumping Lip Oils because they're as nourishing as a balm but give the full glossy lip look that I love. I also love Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat Contour Duo Lip Pencil and Plumpgasm Nudegasm Diamonds Gloss. I really am a nude lip girl at heart!

It probably doesn't seem like a streamlined routine but in terms of where I was a decade ago in beauty, this really is almost minimal!!

I would really love to hear what your top summer beauty picks are?
