Why you need to try a Fenty Beauty lip liner...

 

Fenty took the beauty world by storm when it launched in 2017 and it has gone from strength to strength since then, also expanding into skin and haircare. I'm a huge fan of the brand in general with the body milks and butters among my favourite body moisturisers I have ever tried. I love the makeup too - the shade range, the textures, packaging - everything! Today I want to tell you why I love the lip liners so much and why I think everyone should own one.

I love a lip liner, especially as I age, because I like adding definition to my lips - I don't hugely overline because it's not to my taste but certainly with age, I've noticed that my lips look better when lined - fuller and symmetrical. That said, some lip liners are really uncomfortable to use. They can drag on the lips and be too dry. However, I don't like lip liners that are too smudgy and can make you look like you have clown lips! The perfect lip liner is neither too dry nor too soft, with good pigmentation and long-lasting.

There are 16 shades available - I have three (so far!), all pigmented, soft when applied but then they dry down and are budge-proof! I find that a lot of lip liners disappear quite quickly (hence the lip liner stain trend), but these ones really don't budge and yet they aren't drying. I have found them to last between 6-8 hours, depending on how much I eat and drink in that time. Definitely the most long-lasting lip liner I have used and pretty much waterproof. 

I love how pigmented they are. In the swatches above, from top to bottom, are Pnut Butta (the perfect nude without being too brown),  Bored Heaux (the perfect deep burgundy shade), and Thugz Blush Too (a beautiful dusty rose). 

I love combining these with lip balm, gloss, lip oil, lipstick (or a combination). They are the perfect base product because they are so long-lasting on the lips and give definition without looking too harsh. They are also so comfortable.
