Holiday make-up: the beach holiday edition featuring Stila, Urban Decay, Make Up Forever, Charlotte Tilbury, Too Faced & more!

For my birthday last month, my husband very kindly surprised me with a holiday to Tenerife and we leave this afternoon! I am really looking forward to a week of sunbathing, relaxing, reading and eating! Today I am sharing with you the makeup that I am bringing with me for the week. As usual, I probably have too many lip options but I've tried to be good with everything else!

The only face primer that I am bringing is Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer because it is really hydrating and refreshing and the tube isn't very heavy so it's perfect for travelling. I don't wear makeup when I'm at the pool or beach so I'm only bringing one base product for the evenings, which is Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done. This is so lightweight and comfortable to wear and provides medium coverage, which will be ample for me on holiday and I am also bringing Kevyn Aucoin The Celestial Skin Liquid Lighting Highlighter in Candlelight for evenings when I want a bit more glow. I can mix this with my foundation, wear it over my base to highlight or even wear it over my moisturiser if I don't feel like wearing make-up but don't want to be completely bare faced. The only concealer I am bringing is Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer because it is perfect for covering blemishes/redness and also for the under eye area so I really don't need any other concealer and this mini size is just perfect!

I wrote about my current cheek duo obsession here last week so I have to bring them on holiday. Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso and Laura Geller Baked Gelato Swirl Illuminator in the shade Peach Glow are the absolute dream team and I think they will look even better when I have a little colour in my cheeks! To add some gentle definition to my face, I will use Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow because I won't have any inclination to contour heavily on holiday!

My trusty Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer is a must have for quick, defined brows and Nars Smudge Proof Eye Shadow Base is an essential for me whether I am at home or away because it is the only eye primer that I have found to actually lock shadows in on my oily eyelids. For evenings when I just want a simple wash of colour, without having to spend ages blending, I am bringing two By Terry Ombre Blackstars in the shades Misty Rock and Bronze Moon. Misty Rock is a mauve/taupe colour and Bronze Moon is a beautiful bronze (as the name suggests!). I love the convenience of shadow sticks & these are really pigmented yet they don't crease once I use my primer. As a palette addict, it was difficult to choose only one to bring but there is no need to bring more than one when we are only going for one week, so I decided that Stila Eyes Are The Window in Soul is perfect because the warm shadows with copper/bronze tones always look good on holiday and I like that there is a mixture of both shimmers and mattes and the case is pretty sturdy, which makes it perfect for travelling. Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in the shade Trooper was the obvious choice for liquid liner because it simply doesn't budge no matter what the circumstances. On a side note, who else is super excited about Kat Von D coming to Debenhams?! I have a sample size of Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara so that is perfect for popping in my bag without taking up too much space. I'm not bringing a waterproof mascara because I haven't found one that I like and after wasting money on a Givenchy one for my last holiday, I've decided not to bother this time around!

Now on to lip products and this is where I get a bit ridiculous but I know that when I come home, summer will be over and I won't get the opportunity to wear some of these colours again until next Spring so I am bringing five colours and one lip liner. I decided that I should bring Dior Addict Lip Glow Lip Liner because it will work with whatever colour product I wear and saves me bringing several lip liners. To be honest, this product is a bit of a gimmick and not one that I would repurchase but it does the job and because I paid so much for it, I need to use it and this is a good opportunity to do so!

The first lipstick that I am bringing is from the Make Up Forever Artist Rouge range and it is the shade C305 Intense Coral. This lipstick was sent to me recently and I absolutely love the coral/pink colour and think it is perfect for a sun holiday. The next lipstick is Lost Cherry by Charlotte Tilbury, which is fuschia with a hint of red and I always wear this on holiday when I have a bit of colour in my cheeks. My nude lip option is Charlotte Tilbury Kim K.W. which I am currently obsessed with. It is the perfect nude - not too brown and not too pink. I am bringing two glosses; Anastasia Beverly Hills in the shade Maui, which is a beautiful opaque gloss in a coral colour and YSL Gloss Volupte in the shade 19 Rose Orfevre - this is a rediscovery for me and I have fallen in love again! I adore the scent, the light peachy-pink colour, the applicator, the non-stickiness - basically everything about this gloss! It looks good worn alone or over a lipstick and most importantly, it doesn't stick to my hair!

So that's everything that I am bringing and I think that I will use all of the products and I should have all bases covered with these. I've been quite restrained compared to a few years ago when I used to being several options for each category of product! I'd love to hear your thoughts on holiday make-up - do you go all out or are you minimal? Please tell me in the comments below!

There won't be any posts next week but check back on the 12th where I'll have a new post up!
