I am never without nail polish - once when I was in hospital, the nurses advise that I remove my nail polish in case I needed surgery, I genuinely was more concerned about how naked I would feel without nail polish than I was about having surgery! Ridiculous, I know! I don't like chipped nails, which I why I love CND Vinylux nail polishes and their weekly top coat because my manicure lasts at least 7 days (I could probably go a little longer but I have my Friday routine!). CND have four new shades for Spring and I was kindly sent two of them!
Gummi is a soft lilac shade and it's definitely different to everything else I have in my collection! I feel like I have been looking for a lilac for a few years but was never able to find one that was opaque and non-streaky. Thankfully, this particular polish ticks those boxes for me! One coat is enough to achieve full opacity but I sometimes apply two and find that it layers well.
Candied is a beautiful pastel pink, which isn't too pale. Again, it's non-streaky but I find that I need two coats to achieve full opacity. The wide brush makes it very quick and easy to paint my nails!
There are two other shades available - Taffy, which is a Tiffany blue shade and Jellied, which is a yellow shade that I don't think would be universally flattering!
The key to making the polishes last a full week is the Weekly Top Coat, which I absolutely love because it just seals the polish to prevent chipping but it doesn't damage the nails.
