You may have read my previous post a few months ago about my hair growth journey with the new Currentbody LED Hair Growth Helmet* here. I wanted to check in to give you an update. As I explained in my previous post, I am currently recovering from a long-term, chronic illness, so my results are always slower with every device or product that I use but I am impressed with the results so far. I also wanted to share this post today because my discount code LYMINCB has been doubled to 20% (ending at midnight), whereas the rest of the year, it is at 10%.
I have used the hair helmet daily apart from a few days when I was on holiday as it's too big too take away, but other than those few days, I have been consistent, which I think is imperative with any device if you truly want to see results. It only takes 10 minutes a day and you can walk around with the helmet on your head during this time, so there really is no excuse not to use it!
My hair loss story began years ago when I first became ill with Lyme Disease and a myriad of other infections. Fortunately, I had a lot of hair so when I lost a lot, it wasn't really noticeable to anybody but me, but when Covid hit, I lost A LOT of hair and because I had Covid 16 times, it never really had a chance to fully recover as it would be regrowing and then I'd get infected again and the cycle would repeat. Last year, I went to America for medical treatment and after this, I noticed a lot of hair loss and was actually shocked by it when having my hair dried in a salon and the bright lights really showed just how thin my hair had become. Illness, stress and hormones can affect hair loss and I felt like I was battling all three at once. I then began to use a hair growth serum and saw some improvements but my hair still looked fine overall and just not like my hair. When Currentbody got in touch with me in late summer to see if I would like to try the LED Hair Growth Helmet, I jumped at the chance.
I shared some photos in the before post and the above photos are from a few days ago. I don't know if it's really showing how much growth there is in the after photos (or intermediate photos because I will update again after 6 months and believe it will take that to get a better idea of how well it is working for my hair), but my hair looks much fuller overall and I have baby hairs sprouting everywhere! I wanted to be sure to get the same angles because it drives me mad when I see people showing before and after photos but the hair is held in a different direction/angle to make it look thicker in the after! I will always be honest in my reviews. My hair looked lank before, whereas now it has some body. The regrowth is fine at the moment but that will increase with time - I wasn't expecting miracle in just 3 months! I have also noticed a lot less hair shedding also.
I recently had a wash & blowdry in my local salon and it wasn't my usual stylist who did my hair. The person who was washing asked if I had a preference for products and I said that because my hair was fine and thinning, I wanted to use products to disguise that and she replied that my hair was actually thick and I have a lot of it! I was surprised and so pleased as this was fresh eyes on my hair.
The LED lights are all over the helmet, so the entire scalp is being treated, which is brilliant because if using a serum, you tend to just apply along the parting or where you see the most visible loss, but this treats all of the scalp and therefore overall density will improve.
So far, I am very happy with the results because my hair doesn't look as flat anymore, it's also stopped shedding and the regrowth is very visible. It will take months more of consistent use for my parting and hairline to be thicker overall but I am on the right path and feel confident that it will happen, whereas this time last year I was panicking!
This is an expensive piece of kit, however I do believe it's worth it based on the results I have had so far and you can save 20% with my code LYMINCB until midnight tonight, after which the code will revert to at 10% saving.
