Thanks to Kylie Jenner, the who nude lip thing is not going anywhere anytime soon and I'm happy about that because I have favoured nude lips for years! However, not everybody likes lipstick - in fact, until about 18 months ago I only ever really wore lip glosses. Today, I am sharing a combo that really is a "your lips but better" look.
Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk is very popular in the beauty world, but today I am featuring Iconic Nude for a true nude lip. It is slightly more brown-toned than Pillow Talk and is very similar to MAC Spice and Whirl. It works perfectly with YSL Gloss Volupte in 210 , which is a pinky-mauve toned nude, very like MAC Soar lipstick.
Because it is a gloss, it makes the lips look more plump than a lipstick does and YSL glosses are not too sticky or heavy on the lips, which makes them comfortable to wear. They are also very moisturising. The applicator is shaped to perfectly fit the lips, which gives a precise application - no gloss on the chin or looking like a clown! As with other YSL lip products, the gloss smells like apricots - yummy! This gloss was part of the Autumn 2014 range, but it is still available to buy so if you like the look of Soar, but prefer a gloss then I suggest you try this!
