Recent purchases #30 featuring MakeUp Geek, Jo Malone, MAC, Natasha Denona, Essie & more!

It's great to be back! We had a really lovely week in Tenerife - the sun really helps with my bone pain and we did nothing but relax, read, sunbathe, eat and enjoy each others company. I'm now 12 months into my treatment so we're hoping that the next time we go on holiday it will be to celebrate remission when my treatment ends! I bought a few beauty products in Duty Free last week and I had placed a few orders before leaving and the parcels were waiting for me when I got back so I've bundled them all together for today's post, so let's get started!

The Loop had their €10 off orders over €50 promotion again so I took advantage but didn't go too crazy because I really don't need more make-up (Did I even say that? Who am I?!) and I got a lot of really beautiful beauty products for my birthday.  Anyway, on to what I bought - a few months ago, the beautiful Kirsty from Life in Excess blogged about a blush from MAC and it has been on my radar ever since. It is New Romance from the Mineralize Range, which is a beautiful peachy pink - my favourite blush colour! I have one other blush from this range so I already know that I love the formulation. I also bought two MAC lip pencils: Edge to Edge and Oh Honey from the Pro Longwear range. Both are nudes (what can I say, they're my favourites!) - Edge to Edge is a pinky nude and Oh Honey is a peachy brown nude. I'm looking forward to using all of these. I also bought a 30ml bottle of Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia, which has been on my wishlist for ages! It is fruity and floral, but not too sweet! I also bought a bottle of Lime, Basil & Mandarin Hand & Body Wash because I just adore the scent and have the matching perfume.

I have wanted Sarah Chapman Ultimate Cleanse for the longest time so I finally bought it because I am almost finished 3 cleansers (!) and rather than replace those, I thought I would try something new although I will try not to open it until I have finished the other cleansers!

I've heard so many great things about the new Essie Gel Polishes and Boots had a Buy One, Get One Half Price offer on so I bought Take Me To Thread, which is a taupe colour, unlike any other polish in my collection and I bought the Gel Topcoat too. I can't wait to get these on my nails! I also bought NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee after Leanne recommended it to me.

I don't need to fake a tan at the moment, thanks to my week away, but in a few weeks #tanthursday will be a thing again so I bought Bondi Sands Self Tanning Lotion Dark, which I have never tried before but have heard great things about.

I absolutely love when Escentual have discount codes because they don't have any exclusions so I took the opportunity to save 20% on DIOR Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Shimmering Sculpting Powder. I missed out on the highlighter from the Spring '16 collection and didn't want to miss out this time around.

Finally, I placed a Beauty Bay order and couldn't resist buying another Natasha Denona 5 shadow palette in 04, which has gorgeous bronze and copper shades. I cannot wait to use this because the shadows are second to none and worth every penny in terms of pigmentation, texture and longevity. I know that some people aren't keen on the packaging but pro MUA palettes tend to have clear lids so that MUAs can see clearly what is inside each palette when they are working, similar to Viseart palettes. It's quite flimsy but not the worst I've come across and I can totally get over that given the product inside. I also (finally) ordered some Make Up Geek Shadows! I ordered 9 and a small Z Palette to put them in. There are so many to choose from that it is almost overwhelming but I think I chose well for my first order. If I like them as much as everybody else seems to then I will probably end up ordering more. The shades I chose are: Peach Smoothie, Creme Brulee, Cocoa Bear, Frappe, Goddess, Taupe Notch, Hipster, Pretentious and Barcelona Beach. I'm really looking forward to using these and will let you know my thoughts in a few weeks.

If you have made it this far - well done & thank you! Have you tried any of these products? What are your thoughts on them? I'd also love to hear what you have been buying recently and what other Make Up Geek shadows you think that I need to buy next? Please tell me in the comments below!
