Review & Swatches: Clarins Lip Comfort Oil Intense

Review & Swatches: Clarins Lip Comfort Oil Intense
These lip oils were kindly sent to me.

Have you entered my beauty bundle giveaway here?

In 2015, Clarins launched their Lip Comfort Oils and since then have added seasonal shades but their latest release of Lip Comfort Oil Intense* has really excited me because while I love the original version due to how nourishing they are, they only add a hint of colour. These new lip oils are pigmented as well as having the nourishing properties of the original oils.
Review & Swatches: Clarins Lip Comfort Oil Intense
Swatches are unedited. From left to right Intense Nude, Intense Fuschia, Intense Red,

As you can see from the swatches above, the pigmentation is definitely intense. There are five shades available, ranging from Intense Nude to Intense Red and some varying shades of pink in between.

The formula is ultra nourishing and comfortable as it combines a trio of organic plant oils: hazelnut, jojoba and cranberry. It has also been enhanced with Anti-Pollution Complex to help protect against environmental aggressors. The great thing is that the formula isn't at all sticky so I don't need to worry about it sticking to my hair if I'm wearing it down. There is a slightly sweet scent to the product, which soon dissipates after application.

The doe foot applicator makes it easy to apply and not smear all over the face, but also easy for top ups and the small size is perfect for even mini, night out handbags.

I really didn't expect the pigmentation of a lip oil to be as intense as it is and I personally love the glossy effect. The nude is ideal for everyday wear but I just know that I will wear the Intense Fuschia a lot of the coming months, and especially in summer, with bronzed, glowing skin and minimal eye makeup as my lips will be doing the talking (so to speak!!).

Clarins have an ongoing partnership with Terracycle and from next month, customers can recycle any product from any brand, in store at Clarins counters and they will receive a skin consultation and three personalised samples. I think this is an amazing commitment to the future of our planet. For every kilo of recycling collected, Terracycle will donate to Greenfingers, which is Clarins' 2020 charity partner. This charity creates magical and therapeutic gardens for children with life-limiting illnesses - what a fantastic initiative and partnership.

Lip Comfort Oil Intense* is priced at £19 and available in five shades.

Will you be picking one up? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
