Spring Lips & Tips 2022

Spring Lips & Tips 2022

It's well established at this stage that I love Spring, so I thought that I'd share my favourite nail polishes and lip products for the season, rather than my entire makeup run down, or we'd be here all day!

Nails:

I've gotten into wearing French manicures again recently, which is a real throwback for me. I use Essie Blanc for the tip and two coats of Essie Mademoiselle over it, before finishing with a top coat. I love how chic it looks, and it reminds me of my wedding day. I wear Essie Blanc alone during the summer, as I love a white nail at that time of year! Don't forget that you can save 20% on Essie and other brands on Look Fantastic with my code LYMIN.

Another favourite is Essie Fiji - a classic milky, pastel pink. This signals Spring to me, as I tend to wear it when the days get a little longer and the blue skies start to appear (let's just ignore the rain we've had over the past week or so!). I think that this shade would suit all skin tones, but I especially love how it pops when I have some fake tan on!

Essie Lilacism: The name speaks for itself. I love this pale lilac when I'm wearing some fake tan, as it makes it stand out a little more. Sometimes I'll paint my nails a variety of pastel shades, and other times I use this on its own. I find two coats is the perfect amount for a streak-free finish.

Essie Lovie Dovie: A classic pink that I wear in Spring and Summer mainly, but would happily wear all year round, as the shade just makes me smile when I look at it. I love a pink that isn't too neon, nor dull, and this one fits the bill perfectly.

Lip products:

It will come as no surprise that Clarins Natural Lip Perfector is in here - so easy to wear and top up on the go, feels balmy, and the shade suits my lip tone. I like this for minimal makeup days, but equally, over a lipstick if I feel I need some shine.

Charlotte Tilbury Famously Pink (limited edition), is a beautiful coral-pink shade, which I love as it lifts my complexion in an instant, and makes my teeth look a little whiter. Plus, I love how comfortable these lipsticks are to wear. It's almost a shame to use it as the bullet is so pretty, but I don't believe in keeping things for best.

Natasha Denona Lip Oh-Phoria Nude: I've always loved glosses - I love how juicy and plump they make my lips look, but I have certain criteria. They can't be sticky or streaky! This gloss is neither, and gives a little tingle to the lips, but nothing too major. The only thing is that it isn't the most pigmented (most glosses aren't), so it's best worn with lip liner all over the lips, or as a lip topper over a lipstick.

Armani Lip Maestro 101: All lip picks here are on the nude spectrum, but this is the most pigmented, most 'beige-nude' and most long-lasting. Don't let liquid lipsticks of the past put you off, this is so comfortable to wear, doesn't dry the lips out, or crumble at all. The formula is spot on, and it's perfect for wearing under a mask.

Fenty Beauty Slip Sheer Shine Lipstick in the shade Makeout Break: I absolutely love the balmy formula of these lipsticks. They are so comfortable to wear and this shade is a gorgeous nude, that has enough shine to make my lips look fuller, but it's not a full on gloss, plus it lasts longer on the lips than a gloss, and like some of the others, it's very easy to top up on the go. I also like the slimline packaging, as it will fit in even small handbags.

I'd love to hear what your favourite lip & nail products for Spring are?
