You know those days where you couldn't be bothered putting makeup on, but you haven't slept/you're ill/your skin is dull/ you're short on time, and you either have to face the world, or you just want to feel a little bit better? I think we all have them! Well, for those days, there are five products that I rely on to make me look more alive and a bit fresher and I'm sharing them with you today.....
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter: This won't be for everyone (those with oily skin would probably prefer a mattifying product), but I need some glow and this is the perfect product! It blurs the appearance of pores (whereas glowy products usually highlight areas of texture or pores), it instantly takes my skin from drab to fab and it's also quick to apply. What's not to love?!
Rodial Banana Low Lighter: This is a recent addition to my collection, but I absolutely adore it. One swipe instantly erases dark circles and the finish is so natural that it blends seamlessly into the skin. It doesn't settle into fine lines, or crease, so basically it just looks like you have bright under eyes without the fake pearlescent look.
Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'n' Kohl Eye Cheat: This is a must have on tired days because it instantly opens up my eyes. Because it's a nude tone, it looks natural whereas white liners just look fake in my opinion. This one just makes my eyes look brighter and more awake, which is exactly what I want to achieve.
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes! Mascara: If I don't have lash extensions, I need to wear mascara and I love this one because it lengthens, defines, adds a curl and can be layered without giving the spider eye look. It also doesn't make my lashes crispy and doesn't smudge. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
Hourglass Volumizing Glossy Lip Balm: For some people, just wearing a bright lip is all they need to make themselves look more awake, but my go-to is soft, nude lips that are a little glossy and this ticks every box. It makes my lips look full and juicy, adds some gloss, but has a beautiful, balmy texture. I can see this being a repeat purchase for a while!
This is after skincare and the all important SPF, of course. Sometimes, just taking extra time on your skincare routine will make all the difference - massaging products in, some lymphatic drainage in the eye area can help, but if all else fails...... there's always makeup!
What would be your five product face? I'd love to hear!
P.S. There are no brow products because I tint them and only need to comb through if I'm in a rush and I really did want to keep this to five products!
