2020 Christmas Gift Guide: Non-beauty

2020 Christmas Gift Guide: Non-beauty
Anything marked with a * was kindly gifted to me, without obligation.

Welcome to my non-beauty gift guide! As you know I am still doing a giveaway this year, but in a different format - I have decided that I will pick random commenters, both here and on Instagram, to receive a prize, but a lot of the items in these gift guides, will be going to homeless shelters and frontline workers, unless they are ones that I have specifically bought for family myself. I hope that you will agree that this is a fair way of doing things this year - I want people who actually engage with my content to win a prize. Now, on to the gift guide! As always, discount codes will be included, if available.

Veja trainers: These are honestly, the most comfortable trainers that I have ever worn - they feel like you're floating on air. There's no breaking in period, where they rub off your heels, and they feel supportive, so you could easily walk for hours in them. They look cool on both men and women so if you wanted to, you could be matchy matchy with your other half!

Ted Baker Rose Gold Studs: It's hard to beat a classic stud earring for day to day wear - they're timeless. I love these because they're rose gold, which can be softer against the face than gold, and the. swarovski crystals make them look more expensive than they actually are. They are housed in a small, fabric bag and housed in a box, so you don't necessarily need to wrap, if you don't want to.

Slip Silk Mask: Masks are here to stay for the foreseeable, so investing in a comfortable one, is worth the money. This can be adjusted behind the ears, for the perfect fit. It feels breathable, rather than suffocating, and it's reusable. Also, it's available in a number of colours.

Slip Silk Pillow Case: This is a real treat, which people may find hard to justify spending the money on themselves, so to receive as a gift would be a dream. Silk pillowcases help to reduce hair breakage, but also help your skin, so you don't wake with crease marks on your face!

Daily Goal Setter: This is a brilliant journal, which is undated, so you can start whenever you wish. It has monthly planners and reviews, so you can see where you can make changes/improve the following month, and I love that there is a page dedicated to each day, which begins with space for 3 things you are grateful for that day, 2 daily affirmations, 3 highlighted goals for the day, room for other goals/tasks and then, finally a space to write in a great thing that happened that day. There is also a motivational quote at the bottom of each page. There are so many similar products on the market, but this one is great value at £21.95 and great quality too.

Venchi Chocolates: I discovered these chocolates in Rome, last year, and decided that I needed some in my life again this Christmas. These are chocolates that you don't share with kids - they're decadent, so I'd recommend saving them for when you're tucked up with a book, for a real treat.

Retro Sweets: A throwback to our childhood with these retro sweets! I know of several people who would love to find this under the tree, for the sake of nostalgia.

Rebecca Yates Notebooks: This site has quotes, planners, notebooks and more, so you are sure to find something for a stationery addict, such as myself. I also love that some of the products can be personalised.

Books: You need to have an idea of the type of book the person you're buying for likes to read, but with all of the anxiety that 2020/Covid brought, I think you probably couldn't go wrong with a Sarah Knight book, as she puts a lot of things into perspective! She talks a lot about your "f*ck budget" and what's worth giving a f*ck about, and what's not!

Designer card holder: For someone who is just starting their designer collection, a card holder is a great idea, as it isn't crazy expensive but you still see that touch of luxury every time you open your bag. It also makes you decide which cards are most important as there are generally four holders (you'll get two in each) and a space in the middle to hold a note. Use the code NEW15 to save 15% on your first order on Matches Fashion (there are some brand exclusions).

Designer bag: The ultimate luxury treat for Christmas, but if budget allows (and don't forget to use the code NEW15 to save 15% on your first order on Matches Fashion - here are some brand exclusions), and the person you're buying for is into luxury bags, a Saint Laurent is a great option as they are excellent quality, but without the Chanel price tag. Plus that discount code works on a lot of Saint Laurent bags on that site. My advice would be to choose a classic bag, rather than a trendy one, but ultimately, it's up to you!

Would you prefer a non-beauty gift? Have any of these caught your eye? I'd love to hear!
